Ashton got back to Lakeview Heights just in time to see Calvin escorting Roxy home.

Once the two got out of the car, Calvin tried to cozy up to Roxy with a charming smile. Still, she maintained a somewhat polite distance from him, casting ambiguity over the nature of their relationship.

“Ashton? What rotten luck. Why are we running into you again!” Calvin scoffed the moment he spotted Ashton. “Why are you staring at Roxy, huh? Have you forgotten about the divorce?”

Calvin’s brows shot up when he noticed that Ashton was staring fixedly at Roxy with a strange expression. There was even a suppressed hint of desire in his eyes!

Did Ashton still have a thing for Roxy?

Feeling nervous, Calvin immediately stood in front of Roxy.

Only then did Ashton retract his gaze, feeling a mix of emotions.

He’d just found out that Roxy possessed a special constitution as well, one that matched the Drakell technique perfectly!

Casting out these thoughts, he turned around and headed toward the Langley residence.

“Hold it!” Calvin called out before hurrying over.

In a voice that only Ashton could hear, he said smugly, “Drop by Summit Lounge at 8:00 pm tomorrow, Ashton.”

“Why?” Ashton asked puzzledly.

Licking his lips, Calvin replied, “For a very good reason, of course! I’m going to propose to Roxy tomorrow, and I want you to witness our moment of bliss! I’m sure you won’t decline my invitation, right?”

“I’m not interested.”

Ashton glanced at Calvin. This loser was actually going to propose to Roxy? He didn’t know whether she would accept the proposal, but it was none of his business now.

“I’ll make sure you come! I want you to watch as the woman you love the most becomes my fiancee! I want to watch as you collapse in agony and despair!” Calvin sneered.

He’d been preparing for tomorrow’s proposal for some time now. He couldn’t wait to take Roxy as his own, formally and officially! To think that Roxy, the sultry 28–year–old CEO, would soon become his plaything!

Ashton returned to the Langley residence without saying a word to Roxy.

As for Roxy, she felt strangely upset to see Ashton entering another woman’s house.

“I’ll be waiting for you at Summit Lounge tomorrow, Roxy!” Calvin declared with a devoted gaze.

“I got it,” Roxy replied listlessly.

She exchanged a short goodbye with him before going into the house.

“Damn it! Once you accept my proposal tomorrow, I’m getting you in bed right away!” Calvin cursed.

Under the moonlight, the stillness of the night seemed to ignite one’s senses.

As soon as Ashton set foot into the Langley residence, he caught an alluring scent that hung in the dimly lit

room.

“I want you, Ashton…”

Sylvia’s seductive voice rang out.

She appeared in a black nightgown, paired with black stockings, and her hair was swept over her left shoulder. Her hips swayed as she approached Ashton, her gaze soulful as she said, “Melody’s asleep, Ashton. Come to my room with me?”

Her breath was scorching as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

Sylvia had already made up her mind. She was determined to get Ashton in bed tonight.

Ashton’s body was all fired up, too. Sylvia’s seduction made him feel like he was about to explode. He was stunned to see that she, too, possessed a special constitution, and it was a temptation he couldn’t resist!

He couldn’t stop himself from activating the Drakell technique.
