Chapter 204
Natalie flashed a radiant smile, reaching out to run her finger across Ashton’s face before declaring smogly. You at least have a bit of self–awareness! You were certainly audacious, taking liberties with me repeated too bad, I’m destined to be the one woman beyond your reach!”
Ashton got up from his seat, took out a talisman from his sleeve, and handed it to Natalie. “You shouldn’t prejudge the outcome, Ms. York. If things go south this evening, you can just break this talisman and yell, ‘Save me, Master!‘ I’ll appear right away to save you.”
Natalie felt a searing heat as soon as she accepted the talisman. She was briefly startled that Ashton actually dealt in talismanic arts, but her surprise was swiftly replaced by indignation.
She found it hard to believe that Ashton actually had the audacity to make her call him “Master“. Did he seek to fully dominate her, intending to render her a frivolous object?
Natalie’s gaze instantly hardened before she lifted her hand and tried to slap Ashton across the face.
Ashton caught Natalie’s hand before she could land the slap. He then pulled her straight into his embrace and chuckled before the hostility in her glare. “You don’t have to be so rash, Ms. York. I’m merely providing you with a backup plan. You’ll thank me for that talisman when you find yourself utterly without recourse.”
“You’d better get your hands off me!”
Natalie wrenched herself free from Ashton’s embrace, her chest heaving in anger. “I don’t need your help! I was lenient with your insolence only because you treated me twice, but if you dare overstep this boundary, you’ll regret the consequences, Ashton!”
Ashton stated indifferently, “I sincerely wish you have no cause to use this talisman, Ms. York. If you prevail this evening, all grievances between us will be annulled, and I’ll even overlook your violation of our agreement.
“If your attempt fails this evening, the compensation for my assistance is that you call me ‘Master,‘ become my woman, and submit to my every command henceforth!”
Natalie asked coldly, “You want me to call you ‘Master,‘ huh? That’s never going to happen, Ashton!”
Ashton said with a chuckle, “You shouldn’t speak in absolutes, Ms. York, since no one can ever foresee what lies ahead. I’ll be anticipating the moment you call me ‘Master‘ tonight.”
Natalie tucked the talisman into her pocket without a second thought and declared with certainty, “You can wait all you want, Ashton! I’ll never submit to any man! If you behave improperly toward me again, I’ll show you no mercy, regardless of our former goodwill!”
Having said that, Natalie turned sharply and walked out of the private room. She had already planned everything meticulously, and Ashton was nothing more than a pawn in her overall design. She had fully utilized Ashton, so it was time to cast him aside.
Ashton chuckled softly as he watched Natalie’s exquisite retreating figure. He was utterly intrigued by what awaited them tonight. He thought that subduing a woman as aloof and arrogant as Natalie would offer a delightful sense of triumph and satisfaction to any man.
Natalie and Ashton eventually left the private room, one following the other.

“What happened, Nat? Did Ashton lay a hand on you? You can just say the word, and I’ll have him taken out, Nat!
Hank growled furiously.
Natalie cast a brief glance at Ashton and said flatly, “I’m fine. Come on, let’s head back to Yorkshore Group.”
Natalie was going to put the final pieces in place, then lure the target into her snare.
Hank nodded in understanding, his eyes glinting with malice. He had confirmed that the parasitic poison was fully under control when he got close to Natalie.
He understood that his previous plans were ruined, so he had no choice but to change his approach–he had to move faster to subjugate Natalie and claim Yorkshore Group.
