A thunderous crack split the air as Alban shot forward, drawing upon all of his inner energy as he charged straight at Sid. He had to end this fight as quickly as possible. If the situation dragged out much longer, the poison would seep deep into his bloodstream and bones, draining him of all his power.
“Hey, you old fart! I’ll let you get a taste of what the Grim Coven can do!” Sid declared.
Hunching forward, he cackled eerily as he somehow moved away in a flash, which made Alban’s attack land on nothing.
Alban felt his heart sink. He swiftly gathered more inner energy, transforming it into a blade aimed right at Sid, but it didn’t hurt Sid at all.
All of a sudden, there was a ripple in front of Alban. Sid abruptly appeared, and with a flick of his hand, a large swath of parasites came raining down on Alban, as though they formed a net.
Expression stiffening, Alban was just about to defend himself, only to realize that the parasitic poison in his body had devoured all of his inner energy. He couldn’t even form a protective barrier around himself.
In an instant, the parasites fell onto his body and began burrowing into his skin.
Alban’s skin turned black, and his knees buckled. Even though he was an SS–ranked expert, he was helpless against something as horrifying as the parasitic arts.
Meanwhile, Sid seized this moment to hit Alban right in the chest, sending him flying.
Alban flew backward, vomiting blood as he crashed to the floor. His limbs twitched uncontrollably, patches of black appearing across his skin as the poison devoured him from the inside out.
No matter how he tried to gather his inner energy, it slipped through his grasp like water. His arms fell limply to
the floor.
“I told you. Only an SSS–ranked expert–someone who has reached the transcendent realm–can withstand the power of my parasitic poison!” Sid declared smugly.
“You’re incredible, sir! Is that all a so–called supreme grandmaster is capable of?” Hank roared with laughter.
Natalie had turned ghostly pale after seeing that the three experts she brought over had fainted in pools of their own blood. Her body was quaking uncontrollably as a deep sense of fear washed over her.
She tried to scramble to her feet and escape, but Hank stuck his arm out to block her path. “Where are you going, Nat? Have you forgotten what I said? You’re going to hand over your shares in Yorkshore Group to me today. I’m also going to strip you naked so that you can satisfy both my mentor and me!”
Natalie kept backing away, her sweat–drenched clothes only adding to her sensual appeal.
“How can you be so ungrateful, Hank! I’ve treated you extremely well the whole time!” she screamed in fury, though her heart was filled with despair.
“Even at a time like this, Nat, you’re still acting all high and mighty. You have no idea how annoying that is.” Hank licked his lips. With a flick of his fingers, wisps of air charged with parasitic poison shot right into

Natalie’s body.
Immediately, her legs clamped together as an excruciating pain ripped through her. It was that familiar tormenting pain again.
“Are you still going to be so arrogant, Nat? You don’t want to die, right? You don’t want to be put through a pain worse than death, right? Well, get on your knees and beg me for mercy!”
