“I came, I saw, and I got what I wanted,” Ashton replied nonchalantly.
Sheila pealed with laughter.
“I’ll admit that the guy you picked is nothing if not funny, Natalie. But are you sure you’re ready for the fight with my man? I should warn you that he’s capable of killing people. Does that scare you?”
“Few people in this world scare me,” Ashton said coolly.
“You’ve certainly got the arrogance,” Sheila remarked, her smile fading. “But you’d better be sure about this. Once you step foot inside Skybound Boxing, you won’t be able to turn back anymore!
“Edmund has already said that he intends to make sure Natalie’s man kneels, begs for mercy, and loudly proclaims to be weaker than him! He’s hellbent on getting Natalie for himself, you know.
“And I know for a fact he won’t stop until he gets what he wants.”
Expression stiffening, Natalie muttered to Ashton, “Think carefully now! You’re walking into the valley of death here. Edmund is not as easy to take down as you think. Even if you’re dying to make me submit to you, you don’t have to rush into anything!”
“Let’s go in.”
Ashton didn’t want to waste any more time. He’d already made up his mind to get Natalie in bed tonight, and he was going to do just that. Besides, he was getting a bonus in the form of Sheila, too.
Since he’d chosen to use the Drakell technique for his cultivation, he’d abandoned all caution. After all, being young was all about living life to the fullest, even when it came to indulging in the pleasures of life.
Natalie sighed. She knew she couldn’t stop Ashton anymore, but she didn’t know how things were going to turn out tonight.
While she knew that Ashton was powerful, he was going up against Edmund of all people, and right in Edmund’s territory, too.
“You’re pretty confident, aren’t you? I’m starting to feel a bit attracted to you,” Sheila purred.
She walked up to him and brushed her hand against his chest, her eyes glimmering.
“Your name is Ashton, right? If you do get Edmund to kneel and admit he’s not as good as you, you won’t only get Natalie, but me as well. If that happens, I’ll honor the bet and let Natalie be the main girlfriend while I’ll be the side chick.
“But it’s such a shame. There’s very little chance you’ll get to have both of us hanging off your arms. Come on, then. I can’t wait to see who chose the more powerful man, Natalie or me!”
Sheila waltzed into Skybound Boxing with Ashton and Natalie following close behind.
Two minutes later, they’d arrived deep inside the place. An octagonal cage was hung high above, with the fighters inside exchanging lethal blows. The stench of blood was thick in the air.
Natalie’s heart jumped to her throat. She glanced worriedly at Ashton, only to find that he looked completely calm
and unbothered.
Where did he get that confidence from?

The moment that thought hit her, she realized that she was worried about him.
“They’re here, Edmund. Look! That’s the man Natalie chose. He’s more handsome than you, isn’t he? He’s already said that he wants you to kneel and beg for mercy, admitting that he’s the better man.
“Not only does he want Natalie for himself, but he also wants to have his way with me… I’m so scared, Edmund!” Sheila said coyly
The gaudily dressed young man she spoke to was Edmund Vance, the youngest son of the Sage and the owner of Skybound Boxing.
Edmund glanced at Ashton. The moment he saw Ashton’s hand on Natalie, his eyes flashed darkly. “Get your filthy hand off her! That’s my future mistress you’re touching. How dare you touch her!”
