hapter 237
It looked like Karl’s body was splitting open. Blood appeared all over his skin, covering him in red. This was the price of using the 82–Replication Strike. Following this single attack, he would have to spend at least two weeks in bed.
But even so, he was determined to take down Ashton. Since they were enemies, he couldn’t let Ashton live. He had to kill Ashton while he still could.
His terrifying power, quite possibly the maximum of what an SS–ranked expert could achieve, came barreling down upon Ashton.
Yet, at the very next second, the seemingly invincible force came to a halt once more. Ashton’s protective barrier completely held it back. In fact, it didn’t even leave a scratch.
“That’s impossible!”
Karl’s eyes bulged, his face filled with horror as his body shook. This was the most horrifying fight of his life. Every single attack of his, no matter how powerful, ended up achieving nothing.
“Could it be… you’re not a supreme grandmaster… You’ve reached the transcendent realm!”
Karl gulped. The thought of that possibility made his throat turn dry, and he was gripped with terror. It was already terrifying to think that someone who wasn’t even 30 yet had become a supreme grandmaster. If Ashton had already achieved the transcendent realm, all of Javonbury would quake because of him!
It was undoubtedly a nightmare if someone like that became one’s enemy.
However, Ashton had no interest in answering Karl.
“Is that the extent of your strength?” he remarked disappointedly. “It’s so weak. What a waste of my time.”
“You…”
“Since you’ve done all that you could, it’s now my turn. Time for you to see whether you can stand your ground against the might of my punch!”
Ashton’s blood coursed through his veins, a shadowy dragon emerging in the depths of his eyes as he threw a punch right at Karl.
He didn’t bother using any sort of technique. With just sheer, unstoppable force, he broke through all of Karl’s defenses and punched him right in the abdomen.
A cloud of blood burst into the air as Karl’s abdomen now sported a fist–sized hole, his expression filled with terror and despair. He crashed heavily onto the floor, completely incapacitated.
Blood continued to gush out of him, and the stench of blood grew even heavier.
Everyone’s eyes were on Ashton. No words could describe the shock and dread they felt. It was as though they’d witnessed the most brutal yet most captivating fight ever.
“Edmund! Ashton’s coming your way again!” Sheila shrieked, her eyes filled with excitement.
At last, Edmund snapped out of his shock. After seeing Karl and the other grandmasters lying on the floor, he felt a chill running down his spine. His hair stood on end, and in his horror, they kept backing away.
It never would’ve occurred to him that Ashton could possess such invincible strength. Even an SS–ranked expert like Karl was no match for him!

“Jump in, everyone! Stop him!” Edmund howled in panic.
This time, he’d crossed someone he couldn’t afford to mess with.
“Get him! Protect Mr. Vance!”
“No one is allowed to cause trouble here! No matter how good a fighter he is, we have the numbers advantage! We can wear him out!”
“Take him down!”
All of the experts in Skybound Boxing shot forward. They were all working for the Sage, so they couldn’t let anything happen to Edmund.
