Hazel shuddered in fear, feeling like the devil himself was looking at her. Ashton would surely continue to humiliate her if she didn’t do as he commanded.
Even more tears began swimming in her eyes.
When she used to torment all those men back then, she never imagined she’d go through the same experience herself someday!
“Answer me! Do you understand what I said?” Ashton snapped, his icy, domineering voice echoing in Hazel’s skull again.
“I do!”
Hazel crawled up to Ashton and placed her fair hands on his shoulders, lightly kneading them. However, Ashton yanked her forward, pressing her body against his.
“Do it properly!” he instructed.
“Yes…”
Hazel took a deep breath. She simply had to buy more time. Knowing what Flint was like, she was certain he’d send someone to kill Ashton and save them. She would only have to endure this humiliation for a short while.
After this, she’d be paying it back in kind to Ashton a million times over!
Meanwhile, Ashton’s eyes glinted cunningly as he enjoyed Hazel’s massage. He knew he’d completed the first step in tearing down Hazel’s walls.
It was time for step two.
“If I’m right, Hazel, I’m guessing you hate your dad, huh? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have developed such a perverse hobby,” Ashton remarked.
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Hazel hurriedly denied it, looking quite panicked
With a smirk, he said, “Based on my understanding of the Sage, you and everyone else around him are nothing but pawns to him. He hasn’t shown you any sort of fatherly love, yeah?”
Hazel frowned. Her body was still pressed against Ashton as she questioned, “Just what are you trying to say?”
“I know the only reason you’re obeying me now is that you’re trying to stall for time. You’re waiting for the Sage to save you, but you’re wrong about that. He won’t save you. He’ll only send people to kill you,” Ashton declared.
Hazel’s expression stiffened. “That’s impossible! Why would Dad send someone to kill me? You’re just trying to drive a wedge between Dad and me, Ashton. No matter what, I’m still his daughter! Why wouldn’t he send someone to save me?”
“If he actually treated you like a daughter, he wouldn’t have allowed you to become part of the bet and let you end up as my servant.”
“I…”
Hazel’s eyes dimmed. She couldn’t refute Ashton on that, but even so, she stubbornly refused to believe Flint would send someone to kill her.
“Hazel, from the moment you became my servant, you became nothing more than a humiliation to him–a stain

on his reputation. And how do people deal with such things? They wipe them out, of course,” Ashton said mercilessly.
“I don’t believe you!” Hazel cried out, her jaw tightly clenched.
“You don’t believe me, you say?”
Ashton turned his head to the side and slid a hand across her delicate collarbone until her body trembled. Only then did he suggest, “Why don’t we make a bet?”
Hazel stared into Ashton’s dark eyes, feeling the heat of his breath against her skin.
“What kind of bet?” she asked in a trembling voice.
As his hand continued roaming downward, he smirked. “You believe the Sage will send someone to rescue you, not kill you, correct? Let’s bet on that.”
He pulled her into his arms and watched as she shuddered.
“I’ll let the Sage’s men enter this house later tonight. If whoever comes in is here to save you, I’ll let you leave unharmed, and you won’t be my servant anymore. However…”
He stared into Hazel’s eyes and continued, “If the person who comes tries to kill you, I’ll save you. But from then onward, you must devote yourself completely to me, both body and soul. You’ll become my servant for good and obey my every command. This sounds fair to me. What do you say?”
Hazel’s eyes lit up, and she nodded immediately. “It’s a deal! I’ll take that bet. My dad will definitely send someone to save me! There’s no way he’d send people to kill me!”
After all, even a tiger didn’t eat its own cubs. She refused to believe that Flint, who’d never once done his duty as a father, would be this heartless toward her.
And if he truly were such a cruel man, then there was no harm in becoming Ashton’s servant.
“Good. It’s a deal.”
“Now let go of me!” Hazel demanded.
Pressed against him, she felt the burning heat radiating from Ashton’s body, which was stirred up by the Drakell technique. Her own body was reacting involuntarily, becoming strangely restless. For some reason, an inexplicable desire began to rise in her.
Ashton released her, then pointed at the open space in front of him. After glancing out the window, he said, There should be some time before the Sage’s men arrive. Perform a dance for me.”
