Ashton’s bout of passion with Hazel had given him quite a substantial amount of spiritual energy. After absorbing it fully, he was one step closer to awakening the Drakeborne lineage, and his cultivation went up as well.
But there was still quite a bit to go before he could reach the divine realm.
Ashton quirked his brows. He had initially thought that with the Drakell technique, he could have a breakthrough and reach the divine realm after sleeping with Hazel. But now, it seemed he was still far from it.
It wouldn’t be so easy to reach the divine realm after all. It seemed like he was only a step away, but in reality, he still needed many other opportunities to unlock even more strength and power.
Ashton sighed, but he didn’t fret over it.
Thanks to the Drakell technique, he was able to cultivate at an incredible speed. So long as he kept at it, it was only a matter of time before he attained the divine realm.
Besides, he had plenty of “opportunities” left around him–Natalie, Sheila, and even Kayla…
“What are you thinking about, Master?” Hazel asked timidly, her face leaning against his chest.
“Do you know what the Sage’s cultivation realm is?” Ashton asked curiously.
Shaking her head, Hazel replied, “No one knows just what level of expert that old bugger is. It’s been ages since he last fought in person, but he’s extremely strong. You have to be careful, Master!”
“I wouldn’t be interested if he weren’t strong,” Ashton remarked before asking another question. “What other factions and forces does he have under his command?”
The more he knew about the enemy, the less unlikely it was that he’d lose the battle. He would never underestimate any of his opponents.
Hazel thought about it for a moment before pressing her body closer to his, completely surrendering herself to him. “From what I know, he has three death squads and a few honorary sons. Besides that, he also has the Blossom Lounge, the Pendragon Hall, and other such underworld factions.
“As for the legal side of things, he controls a number of trust funds and businesses…”
She told Ashton everything she knew, down to the last detail.
“That’s quite a lot of business, alright. Are you interested in taking charge of them?” Ashton asked with a smile, squeezing her with his hand.
Hazel yelped. Looking into his domineering eyes, she gave it some thought before replying, “Even if he’s dead, it’s going to be those two non–blood–related older brothers of mine who will inherit everything.”
“What if they’re also dead?”
“Huh?”
“Just tell me whether you want to inherit the Sage’s businesses,” Ashton declared, pulling Hazel close. “Since you’ve chosen to be my woman, I won’t let you suffer any grievances.”
“Of course I’d love to, Master… If I can inherit the old bugger’s businesses, I’ll definitely satisfy your every desire!
”
Hazel stared affectionately at Ashton. Ever since Flint sent people to kill her, she felt nothing but hatred for him.

“Then let’s go for another round.”
Ashton flipped Hazel beneath him. She gasped, but she couldn’t put up a fight and had to let him do whatever he wanted.
Up on the third floor, Rhonda was woken from her dreams by the sounds. “Is he ever going to stop? Doesn’t he need any sleep?”
She bit her lips, her heart burning with a flicker of desire and hidden anticipation.
The next day, Hazel couldn’t even get out of bed, while Rhonda had to follow Ashton’s instructions and prepare breakfast.
When Ashton came downstairs, he saw Rhonda in yet another purple outfit, one that was even more figure- hugging and revealing than the one she had on yesterday.
Sensing her intent gaze, she stiffened in fear. “D–Don’t come near me!”
