“Lord Reaper…” Eunice muttered as she looked up at Ashton’s mist–shrouded features, his profound eyes that blazed like the sun, and his form, which seemed to be that of a deity.

She suddenly felt her heart overflowing with adoration and knew, in that instant, that she had fallen for the Grim Reaper, the deputy head of the Legion. She was utterly enthralled, having never witnessed such a breathtaking presence. She feared no other man could ever enter her heart again.

She hurried over to Ashton and asked worriedly, “Are you alright, Lord Reaper?”

Ashton replied with clear disdain, “How could I possibly suffer any injury if those back in the Assassin’s Guild lacked the capacity to inflict injury upon me?”

He then tossed his long sword aside and lamented, “It’s truly a shame. I barely got warmed up. Are there other criminal organizations nearby?”

Eunice’s eye twitched involuntarily, wondering what the true extent of the Grim Reaper’s terrifying power was. She then replied, “Lord Reaper, the Assassin’s Guild is the strongest criminal organization nearby.”

“If that is the case, then we are finished for today,” Ashton said.

He instantly reined in his lethal intent and stood, intending to leave the scene. He felt a slight longing for the captivating, graceful Sylvia.

Eunice rushed forward to stop Ashton, asking, “How should we deal with the news of the Assassin’s Guild’s demise? Do you think we should make it public or keep it hidden, Lord Reaper?”

Ashton pondered for a moment before replying with a smile, “It would soon be exposed even if we want to conceal what happened tonight, so we might as well release the news on the dark web and let everyone know the cost of provoking the Legion.

“It’ll show them that the Legion is still more than capable of keeping the wicked in check.”

Eunice felt her blood stir under the Grim Reaper’s commanding presence, only for that confidence to

immediately give way to apprehension.

She looked worried while saying, “If you announce this, every faction and expert that opposes the Legion would undoubtedly turn their full attention on you, Lord Reaper. I’m worried for your safety.”

Ashton let out a sinister grin. “They’re free to come at me! I’ll kill every single one of them, and I’ll wipe out their whole damn family tree if I have to! That is precisely what I want! I haven’t had a proper fight yet today!”

“Got it, Lord Reaper,” Eunice replied, clenching her fists tightly.

She knew that the Legion had weakened and lost much of its standing in Casoria since Lawrence’s illness.

Yet now, with the newly appointed deputy head cutting down the entire Assassin’s Guild by himself, the Legion was destined to rise again. She knew that this was the most vital victory the Legion could have hoped for.

“How might I reach you after this, Lord Reaper?” Eunice asked anxiously, her gaze fixed on him with clear, intense affection.
