“Nadine doesn’t deserve such a respectful address from me!” Ashton declared with a grin.

Heidi immediately grew furious. She was Nadine’s mentee, and Nadine was someone she worshipped devoutly. She wasn’t about to let Ashton insult Nadine. She instantly cocked her brow and snapped, “Get out of here! Dr. Fowler won’t treat someone like you!”

“You’re actually chasing me off, huh? Nadine is the one who begged me to come here!”

Heidi gave Ashton a thorough once–over. “That’s impossible! Nadine has such a reserved, aloof personality, so she would never beg anyone! You’d better get out of here right now, and don’t bother Nadine while she’s working on refining her medicine!”

It was then that a sudden, melodious voice rang through the air. “You’re not allowed to be so disrespectful toward Master Gray, Heidi!”

“What are you saying, Nadine?” Heidi asked in surprise as she turned around. She was hit by a second wave of shock when she took in what Nadine was wearing.

Nadine’s usual style had always been minimalistic–a long–sleeved white gown with her voluminous black hair gathered near her waist.

She, however, was now wearing a white dress that bared her shoulders and revealed her long legs. Her hair was pinned up, giving her ethereal look a powerful new sense of charm and sex appeal.

Heidi’s astonishment peaked when she noticed the faint makeup on Nadine’s face, something Nadine had never done before.
