Eunice stated, “You can finally stop begging that obnoxious Ashton for help once Dr. Fowler agrees to the treatment, Roxy!”
Roxy smiled brightly, exclaiming, “Thanks, Eunice!”
“It’s true that there is always hope when you need it most! I reviewed Dr. Fowler’s information yesterday, and I’m confident that her incredible medical skills can cure my stomach disorder. I look forward to seeing how that good–for–nothing can maintain his haughty attitude in front of me once that happens!
“I’ll personally see to his humiliation once my stomach disorder is cured!” Tanya declared with a smile.
She had developed a deep–seated hatred for Ashton, holding him entirely responsible for the pain caused by her stomach disorder.
“Roxy, let’s hurry and appeal to Dr. Fowler!” Tanya rushed forward, her face alight with desperate anticipation.
They reached the entrance of Whispering Emerald Manor. Roxy knocked gently on the door, asking in a captivating voice, “Is Dr. Fowler in?”
It wasn’t long before the door creaked open. Heidi stepped out and gave the trio a curious once–over. “Did you come here for Nadine?”
Roxy explained politely, “I’m here because my mother has been tormented by a severe stomach disorder. To engage Dr. Fowler’s services, we have made this journey here today. Is Dr. Fowler currently available?”
Heidi nodded, replying, “Nadine is currently engaged in medical studies with her mentor, so you’ll need to wait for a while. You should all write down your names so that I can inform Nadine–though whether she takes up your case depends on your luck.”
Having said that, Heidi jotted down the names of Roxy and her companions, closed the door, and returned inside Whispering Emerald Manor.
Roxy and the others were momentarily taken aback, looking at one another in shared confusion.
Roxy asked in surprise, “Does Dr. Fowler have a mentor, Eunice?”
Eunice shook her head, replying, “I found no mention of that in my investigation. It’s probably just a mistake! I mean, who on earth possesses the credentials to be Dr. Fowler’s mentor?
“I think we should just wait and see how this goes. Dr. Fowler is renowned for her beauty and compassion. I’m sure she won’t turn us away since we came here in good faith.”
“I truly hope that’s the case. May the heavens bless us!” Tanya exclaimed, clasping her hands in prayer.
Roxy gazed toward the deeper parts of Whispering Emerald Manor, feeling a strange, inexplicable sense of foreboding.
In the meantime, Heidi hurried back into Whispering Emerald Manor. In that incredibly brief interval, she had been utterly convinced and overwhelmed by Ashton’s prodigious medical skill.

She decided definitively to stick by Ashton and would stop at nothing to sleep with him. She believed that this was the quickest route to achieving the pinnacle of her medical career.
“Who was that, Heidi?” Nadine asked, her eyes riveted on Ashton as he refined the Complexion Elixir.
Her expression was a mix of pure worship and profound admiration. She had never before witnessed anyone concocting medicine with such skill–it was nothing short of a divine technique.
Heidi reported truthfully, “It was Roxy Sloan, CEO of Summit Group, and Eunice Clark, a member of the Legion. They brought Tanya Forrest, Roxy’s mother, who reportedly suffers from a stomach disorder that has proven resistant to all conventional remedies. They made this journey specifically to beseech your help, Nadine.”
Nadine nodded in acknowledgment, then docilely raised her gaze to meet Ashton’s, her eyes full of reverence.” May I have your permission to attend to them, Master Gray?”
She was fully aware of her status. She was currently Ashton’s maid, so even an act as crucial as providing medical treatment required his explicit consent. She knew that doing anything less would be tantamount to defiance.
Ashton sneered. “It turns out to be Roxy, Eunice, and Tanya, huh? How fatefully convenient that they sought you out!
“You should go out and meet them since they’re already here. You should, however, inform them that they must present themselves before me to make their request regarding the possibility of treating Tanya.”
“Got it, Master Gray!” Nadine agreed while feeling slightly confused, as she had clearly detected the chill and hostility in Ashton’s tone.
She couldn’t help but wonder if Roxy and the others were acquainted with Ashton. She mused that they wouldn’t have to seek her assistance if they were acquainted with him, though, considering Ashton’s peerless medical skills. Thus, she concluded that there was definitely some kind of feud at play.
She was brilliantly insightful and immediately figured out Ashton’s true motive. She thought this presented a perfect opportunity to earn Ashton’s favor, so she resolved to act in concert with him, delivering a profound humiliation to the visitors and avenging the slight against him.
