Ashton’s icy smile was steeped in arrogant contempt and mocking disdain.
Those two foolish women, Roxy and Hester, were hoping to see him humiliated and driven out of Javonbury, weren’t they?
Well, he was going to let them witness the might of his terrifying power!
He unleashed even more of his brutal aggression.
“L–Let me go at once!” Seth sputtered.
His neck was now bruised, with the mark left by Ashton’s fingers clearly visible. His face had gone pale, and his breathing was erratic. His legs flailed around. Even his vision started to blur.
He’d never been as close to death as he was now. An overwhelming terror flooded his heart.
Ashton chuckled mockingly before tossing Seth aside like trash. Looking down at Seth, he questioned, “Did you hear what I said? You get one chance to call someone who can save you. Otherwise, you’re dead meat.”
The crushing wave of murderous intent bore down on Seth, making him shudder uncontrollably. He couldn’t even struggle back onto his feet.
He could only crawl on the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Gage and the others lying around, gravely wounded. He felt his heart sink.
He knew he’d messed with the wrong person this time–Ashton was genuinely capable of killing him.
And yet, that very realization ignited a blazing fury within him. Humiliation and agony twisted together, filling him with hatred so intense he wanted to grind Ashton into dust.
“Not even God can save you this time, Ashton!” Seth howled, his veins popping along his contorted face.
“You have one minute,” Ashton retorted icily, showing no regard for Seth at all.
To him, Seth was nothing more than a reckless brat who overestimated himself.
Ashton was more interested in the experts behind Seth. He wanted to see if Seth could summon anyone who’d at least put up a fight, allowing him to hone his skills further.
“Ashton, are you sure you’ll be alright?”
After catching the stench of blood in the air, Martha grabbed Ashton’s hand, her face fraught with anxiety.
“Of course,” he replied gently while caressing her face. “That bastard ruined our night. I won’t let him get away with it so easily!”
Martha’s heartbeat quickened. She had complete faith in him. Even if something did happen, she would remain at his side and face it with him.
Seth was enraged to see Ashton and Martha being so intimate with each other. He swiftly dialed his grandpa’s private line.

“What’s wrong, Seth?” Tybalt Jensen, Seth’s grandpa, asked through the phone.
His voice was hoarse but forceful, like that of someone in authority.
“Grandpa! Someone’s about to kill me!”
Seth dared not hide the truth from Tybalt, who held the reins in the family. After quickly filling Tybalt in on everything, he cried out tearfully, “General Levin is gravely injured, and the rest of the Southern Troops look more dead than alive, Grandpa.
“Ashton is far too arrogant! He said no one can save my life. You have to come and rescue m
“Ashton Gray?”
Tybalt’s voice crackled with hostility and wariness.
“Grandpa, if we don’t reclaim our dignity now, there won’t be a place for us in Javonbury anymore!”
Seth’s face was filled with hatred. Ashton had stomped all over his pride, and Martha, the woman he loved, was nestled in Ashton’s arms right now. Even his life rested in Ashton’s hands.
He’d never felt this humiliated before!
“Are you done?”
Ashton stomped on Seth’s face, making him yelp in pain.
“Seth!”
Ashton snatched Seth’s phone and said darkly, “It’s me, Ashton. If you want Seth alive, come over now, and bring every last trump card the Jensen family has. Otherwise, you might as well start preparing his funeral now.”
With that, Ashton tossed the phone aside and looked down at Seth. “This is the price you pay for setting your sights on my woman!”
Seth clenched his teeth, his fingers carving bloody grooves into the ground as he swore inwardly to make Ashton suffer a pain worse than death.
After kicking Seth away, Ashton turned around and wrapped an arm around Martha’s waist. He began to admire her beauty again, the lust brought on by the Drakell technique still raging fiercely within him.
Out of nowhere, Roxy came over and said with a grim expression, “Ashton, you should
“Roxy! Why are you trying to advise him?” Robert grumbled.
ip and leave!”
Hester also came over, her gaze flickering as she avoided Martha’s eyes. She hadn’t expected things to escalate this much. There was no stopping it now.
“Why would I leave?” Ashton retorted arrogantly.
Roxy raised an eyebrow slightly. To her memory, Ashton had always been a gentleman. She’d never seen this brutal and savage side of him before.
