Chapter 379
Ashton was moved. He hadn’t expected the little girl he once helped to still harbor suc even after she’d become a superstar.
Compared to Martha, Roxy was the epitome of an ingrate. Why did he choose to marry up on all the other women in the world?
“Okay,” Martha said.
She obediently backed away, but her adoration–filled eyes remained glued to Ashton.
Hester glared at Ashton in anger, snarling, “I can’t wait to see you meeting your doom!”
She quickly scurried to the side.
In an instant, the murderous energy from hundreds of people swept toward Ashton.

His black hair fluttered in the wind. Deep within his eyes, clusters of dark flames began flickering. A thrill surged through him as the situation finally ignited his thirst for battle.
Thanks to the Drakell technique, Ashton had absorbed enough spiritual energy to boost his physical state, but that was only the beginning. He needed to rely on constant battle to fully refine the spiritual energy and convert it into true combat power.
Unfortunately, up until now, he’d come across far too few worthy opponents. But at last, a group of them had delivered themselves to his doorstep!
“Grandpa! Uncle Cesar!”
Looking absolutely miserable, Seth hurried toward Tybalt and Cesar. It was only after he was safely within their vicinity that he finally felt at ease. The murderous air that emanated from Ashton earlier had truly terrified him.
Only now did he regain his sense of security.
“What’s going on here!”
Tybalt, a man in his 60s, scowled murderously at Seth’s pathetic state.
Cesar’s gaze was also icy as he looked at Ashton. After glancing at Gage, who lay in a pool of blood, he made up his mind to kill Ashton.
Ashton had humiliated the Southern Troops!
Behind him, the team of experts employed by the Jensens, as well as the ones with the Southern Troops, were all filled with bloodthirsty rage as well.
All along, they were the ones who pushed others around. When had anyone dared to lord over them?
The one who did had to die!
“Grandpa! Uncle Cesar! That man, Ashton Gray, has no respect for the Jensens or the Southern Troops. He even said he wants to kill me! It’s not a big deal if I’m humiliated, but we can’t let someone stomp all over the dignity of the Jensen family and the pride of the Southern Troops!

“We must kill him and use his blood to wash off the stain he has left on our reputations!” Seth declared with righteous indignation, his fists clenched.
He hated Ashton with every fiber of his being. Tonight, only one of them could walk away from here a was going to prove to Martha that the man she loved wasn’t even worthy of being his opponent.
Seth was going to prove to everyone that no one could afford to mess with him!
Nodding, Tybalt took a step forward with the help of his cane. After staring at Ashton for a while, he said hoarsely, “Do you acknowledge your transgression, Ashton?”
Almost at the same time, Cesar unleashed the full extent of his formidable presence as a transcendent realm expert and hollered, “Do you acknowledge your transgression!”
The other experts who came with them also chorused the same question in unison. The voices of hundreds of men rolled like a tidal wave, crashing down on Ashton’s shoulders, as if in an attempt to force him to kneel.
The atmosphere turned cold and hostile.
A weak–willed person would’ve fallen to his knees in fear by now, desperately begging for mercy.
However, Ashton kept his head up high and smirked scornfully. Meeting Tybalt’s and Cesar’s scrutinizing gazes, he sneered. “How have I transgressed?”
His voice was just as booming and powerful as he single–handedly neutralized the pressure that came from all of them.
Everyone was stunned by his dominant presence, while Martha’s gaze filled with even more love as she stared at him, completely mesmerized. Regardless of how things played out today, she was going to stay right by his side unconditionally.
She was determined to hold onto this chance and never let it slip through her fingers.
“Does he not know what fear is? He’s far too arrogant!”
Hester gulped. She didn’t expect Ashton to be this brazen.
Even Robert, who was far from the action, trembled uncontrollably. Cold sweat poured fro. stared at Ashton in disbelief, hardly recognizing the man whom he once considered his usel

“Roxy, why does it seem like Ashton has become an entirely different person after the divorce? I can’t believe he’s actually challenging the Jensens and the Southern Troops head–on. Is he trying to get himself killed!”
“Only the ignorant are fearless. He simply lacks sufficient self–awareness! Soon, he’ll realize just how insignificant he is in the face of absolute power,” Roxy declared with a frown.
Truth be told, it wasn’t her first time seeing this side of Ashton. More than once, he’d stood fearlessly in front of her, protecting her from all obstacles, and she’d always taken it for granted.
