Chapter 417
Elise was furious—Ashton, while openly enjoying her beauty, still turned down her proposal. He was essentially treating himself at her expensel
Her chest rose and fell with indignation as her warm, Inviting demeanor froze over. She realized that Ashton, appearing so devil–may–care, was truly formidable.
Ashton replied, “It’s simply because the value of Blossom Hall doesn’t compare to that of the Complexion Elixir, Ms. Haywood. You and I both know the Complexion Elixir’s worth–it’s the kind of product that produces massive wealth from a single investment.
“How could I easily let someone take a stake in it, Ms. Haywood? If that was the point of this meeting, then I’m afraid I can’t comply with your request.”
Elise and Whitney’s faces instantly fell. They were intent on acquiring the Complexion Elixir, as it was vital for the future of Blossom Hall.
“You’d better not push your luck, Ashton! You should be more worried about whether you’ll even make it out of Blossom Hall alive tonight!” Whitney snapped.
In that instant, the flirtatious atmosphere evaporated, giving way to a grim, suffocating killing intent. That heavy, murderous tension began to permeate the hall as every eye in the room turned toward Ashton with malice. Their palpable threat left no room for doubt.
Ashton remained half–sprawled as if he hadn’t a care in the world. He swept a glance over the now–frozen beauties of Blossom Hall, his voice laced with disappointment while asking, “Why did you guys stop? You’d better keep going since I haven’t had enough yet!”
“Ashton Gray!” Whitney barked, slamming her hand onto the table in a fit of rage. “You can refuse Blossom Hall’s stake in Evermore Beauty, but you’ll hand over the Complexion Elixir’s formula to us tonight!”
“You’re a bit demanding, don’t you think, Ms. Wright? You were ready to give yourself to me in the car just moments ago, yet in the blink of an eye, you’ve turned your back on me,” Ashton said with a smile, completely unfazed by Whitney’s threat.
Whitney’s face flushed with a mix of shame and rage, a murderous glint flickering in her gaze. She was a heartbeat away from striking when Elise held her in place and murmured gravely, “It’s not time to make a move
yet.”
“That bastard is just jerking us around, Ellsel” Whitney snarled.
“I’m well aware of that. He’s the man even the Sage finds troublesome to deal with, after all. ”
Elise motioned for Whitney to sit and sindled Ashton’s chiseled features. She then said with a smile, “You ought to know that we’ve invited you here in all sincerity, Mr. Gray. Why not lay out the terms? It it’s within the power of Blossom Hall, we’ll surely make it happen!”
Having pondered for a moment, Ashton replied, “Your request for the formula for the Complexion Elixir and a partnership in Evermore Beauty isn’t entirely off the table.
“I can also guarantee the development of even stronger products in the future, profit–sharing for Blossom Hall, and priority access for the women in Blossom Hall to all Evermore Beauty products.”

Elise and Whitney lit up with visible joy after hearing Ashton’s offer. Their eyes gleamed with excitement as they asked in unison, “What do you want in return?”
They were instantly swept up in a surge of excitement.
Ashton stated deliberately, “I’ll grant you a ten percent share in Evermore Beauty, but in return, I want the entirety of Blossom Hall!”
In that instant, the atmosphere throughout Blossom Hall plunged to a freezing point. There were a dozen lethal stares fixed intently on Ashton like loaded guns. They would attack immediately the moment Elise gave the order, making Ashton understand just how formidable Blossom Hall truly was.
Whitney boiled over with rage, barking, “You’re making a fool out of us, Ashton!”
Elise’s gaze in
immediately hardened, thinking that they could never agree to the terms Ashton had demanded.
Ashton continued, “I’m being serious here. It is my responsibility to ensure that Blossom Hall prospers once it comes under my control–and if that were the case, giving you the formula for the Complexion Elixir would be a simple matter of course.”
