“Wanda, can I turn around now?” Ashton asked with a grin.

“Huh? Oh, yeah…” Wanda straightened her clothes, smiling brightly. “Mr. Gray, you just saved my life. I don’t even know how to repay you!”

“How about giving yourself to me?” he joked.

Wanda froze, surprised by how bold and direct he was. Under his heated gaze, she fluttered her lashes. “You’re such a tease, Mr. Gray. But I’ve already decided how to thank you, and I promise you’ll be satisfied.”

“9:00 pm tonight,” she said cheerily. “Message me when you arrive, and I’ll come greet you myself.”

Just then, Ashton stepped in close and leaned in to whisper, “A purple dress would suit you better, Wanda. It’s more sophisticated.”

Wanda blinked, surprised he would toss that line in right as he left.

“Purple, huh?” She couldn’t help the smile tugging at her lips as she watched him and Nadine walk away. “What an interesting man.”

He was charming without being crass, capable, and handsome. It was hard not to be intrigued by him. And once a woman started feeling curious about Ashton, she wouldn’t be far off from falling for him.

Night slowly settled, and Ashton coached Nadine on medical techniques and pill refinement. She was completely absorbed, her bright eyes openly adoring whenever she looked at him.
