Eunice struggled to her feet and quickly got dressed. She tried to walk, but her legs wobbled, and she almost stumbled.

“Lord Reaper… was too strong…” Her face turned even redder.

“I’ll surely find out who Lord Reaper is. I’m definitely going to see his real face!” Eunice declared with a faint smile.

Due to the unexpected turn of events tonight, she’d finally experienced the true pleasures of a woman. Yet, despite how sudden it was, she still felt giddy about it–because it’d been with her beloved Grim Reaper.

This further deepened the bond they shared.

Before long, Hector and the others regained consciousness. They looked around at the corpses of the Japanese men scattered across the ground, their faces bewildered. They had no idea what had occurred.

“Eunice! Are you alright?”

Hector’s eyes immediately fell on her disheveled clothing and the scratches on her skin. Frowning in concern, he asked, “What happened? Where’s Buford Snead?”

“Huh? I’m fine…” Eunice’s gaze flickered a little as she quickly filled him in. “Lord Reaper showed up at the most crucial moment. He took out all of those Jalunese bastards and saved us.”

“Lord Reaper?”

Hector and the others froze, feeling the rush of having escaped a perilous situation.

“Yeah… We should hurry up and report back to the Legion…” Eunice said.

She didn’t dare let Hector probe further, fearing that what happened between her and the Grim Reaper would get exposed. That was going to be their little secret!

She could barely wait to see her beloved Grim Reaper again.

As the wind howled all around, Ashton found himself a secluded area and sat down cross–legged. Then, he allowed his inner energy to rush around freely, forming a torrential current that attempted to break the shackles keeping him out of the divine realm again.

He could clearly sense the spiritual energy he’d absorbed from Eunice’s Pyric constitution. That energy seemed to be the final piece of the puzzle, allowing his flesh and blood to transform.

About half an hour later, clusters of black energy swirled around him. They kept growing stronger, faintly signaling that he was about to break the limits of the transcendent realm.

After yet another half an hour had passed, cracking sounds began to ring out from Ashton’s body. His body entered a strange state as it rapidly refined all the spiritual energy within him.

Meanwhile, after submitting her report, Eunice tossed and turned in bed. She couldn’t fall asleep at all. Her mind kept replaying her encounter with the Grim Reaper.

The more she thought about it, the more enamored she became.

All of a sudden, she got a call from Roxy.

“What’s the matter, Roxy?” Eunice asked.

“Can you come over, Eunice? I feel like I’m having a breakthrough. My body seems to be changing, and I don’t know how to control what’s happening…” Roxy sounded quite frantic.

“A breakthrough? Your body would only change if you’re becoming an S–ranked expert–a grandmaster! Could that really be happening…”

Gulping, Eunice quickly said, “I’ll be right there!”

As wisps of inner energy surged violently around Ashton, his eyes flew open. They glittered darkly as he roared, “Break!”
