After nodding, Felix walked over to Lawrence and confidently declared, “Mr. Clarkson Senior, the head of the Dominion Vanguard has agreed to the wager you proposed, with the outcome of the duel between Ashton and Clay as the deciding factor.

“The Legion will stake control of the northern frontier and the northern commission. The Dominion Vanguard will stake a spirit ore mine worth ten billion dollars, another ten billion dollars in cash, and ten billion dollars‘ worth of herbs. In addition, if Clay loses, Leona Lavigne will join the Legion for one year.

Felix kept his eyes fixed on Lawrence, as if to discern Lawrence’s true thoughts.

Clearing his throat, Lawrence said with a conflicted expression, “The Dominion Vanguard and the Legion have always been on friendly terms. Is it necessary to go this far?”

“Save it, Mr. Clarkson Senior! The fight between Ashton and Clay is unavoidable. Kindly agree to proceed with it. We will sign the agreement today, with the leaders of both organizations serving as witnesses, and we will inform the entire military.

“Three days from now, under the watch of experts from every faction, the duel to the death will commence at the Apex Arena at the military base. Our leader will be in attendance that day as well,” Felix declared, his voice booming with swagger.

Lawrence sighed. “So be it then. Draw up the agreement and have it signed before submitting it to the administration.”

Seeing how reluctant Lawrence looked, Felix became even inore convinced he was right. He couldn’t wait to get the agreement ready, preparing three copies.

The agreement was swiftly drawn up and signed. The Legion and the Dominion Vanguard each received one copy, with the third given to the government for safekeeping.

Just like that, the deathmatch between Ashton and Clay was finalized.
