Chapter 605
“He’s so cool… so domineering… so handsome…”
Some of the women covered their mouths as they stared at Ashton’s chiseled face, their hearts racing. But for the vast majority of the crowd, their hearts sank.
That single punch shattered far too many people’s faith in the match’s outcome. Some who had staketheverything they owned were already going cold all over, feeling as though they were falling down an endless abyss.
“Clay has completely become a foil to Ashton…”
“The outcome of this battle is no longer certain!”
“Mom! Did you see that? This is Ashton’s true strength! Clay is simply no match for Ashton!” Wanda couldn’t hide her
excitement at all.
Her face lit up with joy, making her look as radiant as a blooming rose.
Julia was silent. The earlier contempt in her eyes was gone as she carefully sized up Ashton. “Wait until Ashton wins before you celebrate. That punch alone isn’t enough to defeat Clay.”
“It’s only a matter of time!” Wanda straightened up and beamed. “Just wait and see how amazing my boyfriend really is, Mom!”
On the other side, Damian was dumbstruck. The smug, mocking smile he’d worn at the beginning had long since vanished. Now, he was constantly wiping cold sweat from his brow. He had borrowed an enormous sum of money to bet on Ashton losing this fight.
If Ashton won, he’d be finished! He simply couldn’t repay that debt!
“Eunice, Ashton just got lucky, right? He’ll definitely lose to Clay, right?” Damian asked in panic.
Eunice’s brows twitched as she completely ignored Damian. Her heart was already in utter turmoil, and it wouldn’t calm down
no matter what.
The punch Ashton just threw was an exact replica of the Grim Reaper’s, both in angle and method. There was at least a 50% chance that he was indeed her beloved Grim Reaper.
But it had to be a coincidence. It had to!
Eunice kept reassuring herself, yet in her mind, the memories of her intensely intimate encounter with the Grim Reaper replayed themselves. She recalled how she lay there naked as that man claimed her. If that man were Ashton…
Her cheeks flushed crimson. She pressed her thighs tightly together. All she could do was pray that Ashton wasn’t the Grim Reaper. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to live with herself–or face her good friend, Roxy.
Clay coughed as he struggled up from the deep crater. His white robes were in complete disarray now, with not the slightest trace left of his earlier ethereal air. He was hunched over like a defeated dog, his abdomen bearing a sunken fist mark.
Several bones were exposed, with dark red blood continuously seeping from various places along his body. Listening to the murmurs all around, Clay felt his chest filling up with fury. How could he possibly lose to Ashton again? He was a prodigy, blessed by fate itself! He was the future head of the Dominion Vanguard! How could he lose repeatedly?
“That’s… the Shadow Breaker! I can’t believe Clay has mastered that technique!”
“Speed is the only thing that’s undefeatable in the world of martial arts. If Clay can be quick enough, he might be able to defeat Ashton with his speed.”
“The battle for victory has only just truly begun!”

In the blink of an eye, it looked as if Clay’s figure had split into dozens of overlapping images. Each one seemed vivid and real, shifting endlessly, making it impossible to tell which was his true body.
“You can’t defeat me, Ashton!” Clay roared.
