Chapter 613
Amidst the deafening clamor, Clay’s feral laugh echoed. Staring coldly at Ashton, he growled, “Kneel and admit defeat, Ashton! Do it, and I’ll let you die with dignity.”
His expression was haughty, as if to return all the humiliation he had suffered directly onto Ashton.
Clay knew this was his final moment of glory. Since that was the case, he was going to thoroughly humiliate Ashton so that his name would spread far and wide.
Even as Ashton took in Clay’s imposing aura, he simply eyed Clay coldly and snorted. “I didn’t expect a cash cow like you to end up giving me a surprise. Here I was, fretting over how I didn’t have anyone I could use to refine my cultivation. I couldn’t find anyone who could push me to my limits.
“But now here you are, and for that alone, I’ll let you live.”
Even as the killing intent filled with the power of the semi–divine realm roared around him, Ashton’s expression remained completely calm. In fact, his dominant aura continued to suppress Clay’s.
Clay’s features contorted. Ashton’s unshakable arrogance was precisely what he hated the most. He wanted nothing more than
to rip Ashton’s face apart.
In an instant, his power surged to its peak, like a drawn bowstring ready to fire. He channeled all the strength of his semi–divine realm into his fists and lunged at Ashton. He wanted Ashton sprawled in a pool of blood. He wanted to stomp on his head and
humiliate him!
His hatred for Ashton had reached the point of madness.
Clay’s murderous energy filled the air, rushing at Ashton.
Ashton’s gaze darkened. He didn’t choose to avoid the attack. Instead, he advanced toward Clay, his body exploding with raw power. He chose to engage Clay in close quarters, keeping his power suppressed to that of the transcendent realm.
In a flash, Ashton and Clay’s figures collided. The two exchanged dozens of blows in mere seconds. Each strike was lethal, capable of taking the other out.
Moments later, a resounding clash rang out.
Clay’s strongest punch launched with the terrifying force of the semi–divine realm, sending Ashton hurtling backward.
Ashton’s body slammed against the barrier on the edge of the arena with a muffled grunt. His black attire had torn in places, his unruly hair whipped by the wind, and dark red stains blossomed across his body.
He murmured to himself, “It is pretty difficult to challenge the power of the semi–divine realm with that of the transcendent realm, but that’s what makes it exciting. I want to feel what it’s like to be cornered. This experience is invaluable for when I finally step into the divine realm myself.”
“Ashton! Do you really think you can take down a semi–divine realm expert with the power of the transcendent realm? Don’t be delusional! There’s no way you can match me now!” Clay roared, a frenzied madness filling his bloodshot eyes.
