Roxy’s gaze sharpened as she stared intently at Ashton. Her gaze was conflicted, but images of Calvin’s brutal death and Tanya’s unbearable pain quickly swept through her mind.

Her expression turned cold once more.

“Take my advice and don’t make an enemy out of the Sage, Ashton,” she declared. “You’re no match for him! I’ve already signed a ten–year cooperation agreement with him. I’ll use his resources to bring Summit Group to new heights. No one can stop that from happening.”

Ashton clenched his fists, his eyes glinting darkly.

Roxy might not be ignorant of the grudge between him and Flint. They’d both chosen this partnership. After all, the enemy of an enemy was a friend.
