“I can’t believe he’s actually this impressive. Guess he’s not as aggravating as he seemed before,” Faye muttered to herself.

“Ms. Moore, Mrs. Moore has said that you must treat Mr. Gray well,” Otto said with a smile. “She says that he’s a prince among men. You can’t find another like him, no matter how hard you try.”

Faye’s face twitched. “What else did my mom say?”

“Mrs. Moore also said that if you dare to bully him, I’m to report it to her immediately. She’ll rush over at once to teach you a lesson herself.”

Faye felt a headache coming on. She truly didn’t understand how Ashton had managed to make Josie like him so much that she had her heart set on making Ashton her son–in–law.

A few hours later, Ashton was finally done with the last patient. He stood up, walked over to Faye, and pointed toward Nimbus Summit Heights. “Can we now go inside and enjoy some alone time?”

Faye frowned, feeling somewhat uneasy about being alone with Ashton. Who knew if this guy might let his lust get the better of him and try to force himself on her?

Seeing her hesitation, Ashton leaned close to her ear and said quietly, “Your Phoenixborne lineage hasn’t fully recovered yet. If you don’t let it recover in time, it could cause serious problems when you attempt to break into the divine realm.”

Upon hearing this, Faye stared at Ashton in shock. He actually knew she had the Phoenixborne lineage–and even knew she was attempting to reach the divine realm!
