While Ashton and Roxy looked cold and distant, Eunice deliberately avoided Ashton’s gaze. The moment she caught sight of him, she instinctively squeezed her legs shut.

The three of them walked past one another in silence. As Ashton made his way into the Langley residence, Roxy and Eunice returned to the Sloan residence.
