Chapter 768
Ashton’s supporters reached a fever pitch. Their spirits were so high that any attempt to put their feelings into words fell short.
“How can my darling be so devastatingly handsome? I told you all along–no one can stand against Ashton’s sword, just like no one can handle that smile of his!”
“Ashton is the definition of a chosen one! It makes sense why so many beauties are after him–even I would fall for Ashton if I were a woman!”
“Ashton actually defeated three Jalunese powerhouses in a row, establishing a renowned prestige for Casoria! He is the honor and pride of our nation!”
“I’m utterly convinced now–Ashton deserves to be the ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury more than anyone else!”
“That was such an incredible display of swordsmanship! He actually swept away all the powerhouses with that single sword! He is truly without equal!”
Those gamblers who had put their money on Flint stood frozen, gripped by a crushing sense of dread. They had never imagined Ashton could maintain such a bloody streak.
If Ashton cleared this final hurdle against Flint, he would officially be the new ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury, leaving them completely broke.
“How did this happen, Mr. Vance? Didn’t you say that Ashton’s death was a certainty and that Gareth would end him? How could Ashton still be standing now?”
Those from the factions supporting Flint gathered around him, turning pale as their bodies shook uncontrollably. They were terrified to their very core. They stood to lose everything if Ashton won the fight.
Their reign over Javonbury would vanish instantly, replaced by a new regime that would undoubtedly show them no mercy.
Irina observed Ashton, who appeared both divine and monstrous, then turned her gaze to the wordless Flint. She couldn’t help but wonder how Ashton managed to pull off such a feat. She began to question if he was indeed the prophesied figure the Legion had spent so long waiting for.
Flint remained silent throughout, though his facial muscles twitched incessantly, while his deep, weathered eyes held a dark glint.
It had been decades since someone had actually fought their way to his feet, intent on seizing his title as the ruler of the criminal underworld of Javonbury.
Flint let out a sinister chuckle. “It truly has been a while since I last took action!”
In that instant, a surge of killing intent spilled from Flint, making those around him recoil in fear.
“Well done!”
In contrast to the silence surrounding Flint, the members of the Legion could no longer hold back their exhilaration. They let out a collective roar, as if finally releasing a long–repressed burden. After all, they had been waiting for someone who could bring the Legion back to its glory days ever since its decline.
Those who hadn’t trusted Ashton before this had fully accepted him as part of the Legion now, convinced he was the one who would lead the Legion’s resurgence.
They were certain that Ashton would undoubtedly lead the Legion back to its former glory and grandeur. Their spirits were fired up as they realized that the Legion’s era was far from over.
“You’ve always had a thing for heroes, haven’t you, Melody? Ashton is the only one who deserves the title of hero here!” Sylvia exclaimed, her face brimming with pride as she turned a triumphant gaze toward Roxy.
