Chapter 781
Ashton’s hand clamped down like a vise, locking Flint in place and cutting off his resistance.
Flint’s eyes were bloodshot as he glared at him, fury and defiance burning in his gaze. Streams of spiritual energy erupted from within him, each surge sharpening into pure killing intent as he tried to kill Ashton. But none of it could breach Ashton’s defense.
Black energy coiled around Ashton’s fingers, darkening them to an inhuman shade. With a furious roar, he unleashed the gathered force all at once.
The surge completely overwhelmed Flint’s resistance. Ashton lifted him straight off the ground, swung him overhead, and hurled him down in a brutal arc.
The arena floor shattered under the impact, cracks spidering outward as violent force rippled across the stage.
But this was just the beginning.
Ashton didn’t loosen his grip. He hauled Flint up again and slammed him in the opposite direction, then swung him back the other way, battering him repeatedly from side to side.
Flint’s body smashed into the ground repeatedly, each impact carving fresh craters into the arena floor. Blood spread across the once–solid platform, staining it crimson.
With every impact, Flint’s aura weakened further. The crowd could only watch in stunned silence, struggling to process the savage scene before them.
“Mr. Vance ruled the criminal underworld in Javonbury for decades, and Ashton just crushed him? Is this really happening? I thought the Sage would hold that position until the day he died. But now, it looks like a new ruler is about to take his place.”
“Unbelievable! Ashton’s strength is way beyond anything we imagined.”
“He’s taking everyone down on his own. That’s the kind of thing you read about, not witness. Are the rumors about him being the Legion’s Chosen One actually true?”
“One man standing over all of Javonbury. Who else but Ashton?”
“That’s right! Kill him!”
The people Flint had trampled for years finally exploded, shouting like they had been holding it in their entire lives. They had dreamed of this moment for so long that it almost didn’t feel real.
Clicve and Ivan clenched their fists so hard their knuckles turned white. At last, they could avenge their mother.
Hazel’s heart pounded as well, her admiration for Ashton growing with each passing moment.
As for Rhonda, a faint blush rose across her face, her expression complicated. She hadn’t forgotten her bet with Ashton.
If he truly killed Flint, then from that moment on, she would belong to him, body and soul. She would become his woman, his plaything. But even she had to admit that Ashton’s charisma at this moment was captivating.
Even the women in the crowd frantically called him husband. If he survived tonight, countless beauties would throw themselves at him, all desperate to end up in his bed.
“Flint’s aura… It’s fading,” someone stammered.
“How is that possible?”
Several gamblers dropped to their knees, clutching their heads in a blind, frantic panic. If Flint lost, they would lose everything.
“Ms. Nunley, what do we do now? If the Sage loses, we’re finished. We bet everything on him.”

“He’s right, Ms. Nunley. You have to think of something.”
Irina’s eyes flickered, her inner turmoil hidden behind a mask of composure. She was witnessing the rise of a new power.
If Ashton didn’t die, he would surely become the brightest star of this era. But unfortunately, some endings were decided long
before the curtain fell.
A faint, knowing smile curved across her lips.
“Don’t worry, everyone,” she said evenly. “Mr. Vance has already prepared for the worst–case scenario long ago. This is as far as Ashton goes.”
“You mean the Sage has a backup plan?”
The crowd gasped, hope flickering to life once more.
Before Irina could reply, a terrifying aura burst from Flint’s body. It expanded outward like a tidal surge, sweeping across the
arena in violent waves.
“What’s that?”
“If I’m not mistaken, this is the divine realm aura.”
“Oh
my
God! The divine realm?”
