George took a deep breath, sensing the efficacy of the pills surging within him. “Your mother certainly chose a capable son–in- law! He must have had these pills ready in advance. If he hadn’t, I’d be a dead man by now!”
“Please stop talking and just lie down, Dad!” Faye cried out, distressed by the sight of the horrific injuries covering George.
“You silly girl! I’m not going to die, although my lifelong cultivation is completely ruined!” George said, his gaze faltering for a moment before he smiled contentedly.
“It’s perhaps better this way. After all, I no longer owe the Lowery family. I’ll just spend my days traveling with your mother if I can still get around. I’m done with martial and array arts. It’s time for young folks to take over!”
“You can rest assured that I’m going to make them pay for this, Dad!” Faye declared solemnly.
George, grimacing and struggling to breathe, lay on his back. He fixed his gaze on Ashton and Cassian, who were locked in combat on the stage on Terminus Cliff.
He looked on solemnly and asked, “Do you think Ashton can win this fight, Faye?”
“He can!” Faye replied firmly.
“What makes you so sure?” George asked before he assessed his own injuries.
He then snarled, “That future son–in–law of mine is truly a brutal one–he almost killed me! I’m definitely going to make him pay for this once he marries you!”
Faye gazed at Ashton’s tall, imposing figure and said firmly, “He gave me his word, so he’ll definitely win this!”
George studied Faye intently, then broke into a knowing smile. “It seems like you’ve actually fallen for Ashton. Have you actually given him your heart, Faye?”
“That’s not true, Dad! How can you even say such a thing after being injured so badly?” Faye’s face flushed with both anger and
embarrassment.
She had to admit, the instant Ashton had saved George, her heart had skipped a beat. She kept her gaze fixed on him, the Phoenixborne lineage within her igniting as if yielding to him completely.
George chuckled and said, “I’ve already tested Ashton for you, Faye. He’s reckless and arrogant, sure, but not bad overall. If he manages to beat Cassian, once it’s all over, your mother and I will throw a wedding for you two!”
“Huh?” Faye was stunned. She hadn’t expected that George, barely standing after being defeated, would already be thinking about arranging her wedding. She found it all way too absurd.
“It’s not time for jokes right now, Dad! You understand Cassian better than anyone. Do you honestly believe Ashton can win?” Faye asked, unable to suppress her anxiety for Ashton.
George narrowed his eyes and replied, “It’ll be difficult! Cassian was raised in an ancient martial arts family with the most rigorous training from a young age. He has no flaws in his physique, agility, power, or techniques.
“His innate trait is also immense–it’s rumored he possesses the rare Overlord Physique, which is destined for greatness. He’s also at a higher stage of cultivation than Ashton!”
“Does that mean Ashton has no chance at all?” Faye asked, her complexion growing more pallid.
George shook his head. “I wouldn’t say that. If Ashton can seize this moment to break through to the divine realm, then he’ll definitely be able to take down Cassian. His innate bloodline is just as good as Cassian’s. His sheer lunacy and talent for fighting
are monstrous as well.
“He has the Quadrant Spirit Convergence Array that I’ve passed down to him, so this fight is still up in the air. It all comes down to who has the genuine spirit of a ruler!”

Chapter 859
Two sharp clashes echoed across the shattered combat arena as Ashton’s domain slammed into Cassian’s. Black and white energies intertwined as their powers ground against each other like two worlds in conflict. The impact shook the cliffs, sending massive rocks tumbling down both sides.
Under the howling wind, black and white forces confronted each other, their destined clash already unfolding before either man
made a move.
Cassian regarded Ashton coldly. When he noticed Ashton’s injuries healing at an astonishing speed, the killing intent in his gaze deepened.
“So, that bastard George really did betray me, but that’s fine. Otherwise, killing a man who was already dying wouldn’t have given me much satisfaction,” he said.
“Cut the crap, and make your move!” Ashton snapped.
He was fully immersed in a state of pure focus, ignoring everything but Cassian. His dragon–like eyes locked onto him as his mind began reading the gaps in his defense.
Cassian sneered.
“Since you’re so eager to die, I see no reason not to grant your wish. I initially intended to give you a chance to submit and live, but it seems that won’t be necessary.”
With that, he rolled his knuckles. A terrifying aura long held in check erupted skyward.
Tyrannical pressure swept toward Ashton like a storm. The weight kept building, crashing down in relentless waves and choking the air with suffocating force.
Cassian unleashed his bloodline power, a force that had seemed sealed away until now. The divine aura around him surged again, rising to a level that placed him at the very peak of the divine realm.
At that moment, he stood at the pinnacle of the divine realm. His presence overshadowed everything around him, and no opponent could stand against him.
“Do you feel despair and fear now, Ashton? This is the power of my realm. You’re nothing to me,” he said, lifting his chin and raising a hand to point straight at him.
“I’ll give you one last chance. Kneel and serve me. Do that, and I’ll spare your life. Refuse or defy me, and I’ll grind your bones to dust and cast you into a hell you’ll never escape.”
His words dripped with arrogance, the commanding presence of the Lowery family’s appointed heir unmistakable.
“Cassian is incredible!” Wynter shouted. “Hey, Ashton! You’re standing in front of him, and you still won’t kneel and beg for mercy? If you really anger him, he’ll make you wish you were dead.”
She stared at Cassian with admiration, her face full of infatuation.
