Gavin was the first to notice the change in Ashton’s aura. His expression shifted sharply as he shouted a warning
to Cassian.
Only then did the others realize something was happening. One by one, the spectators turned toward Ashton. His aura was changing, like a butterfly on the verge of breaking free from its cocoon.
“H–Hold on… Is Ashton breaking through? I thought reaching the divine realm was nearly impossible. He’s on the brink of death, and he’s still advancing? How is that even possible? If he succeeds, this fight isn’t decided anymore.”
“The divine realm… Ashton pushed past his limits in the middle of this life–or–death fight and found the opportunity to break through. That’s insane!”
Another spectator said, “His aura is getting stronger. Look at his wounds, they’re already healing. Those reckless attacks on Cassian were deliberate. Ashton was pushing himself past the brink to force a breakthrough and seize the chance to enter the divine realm.
“He is insane. None of this was part of Cassian’s plan. It was Ashton’s. Maybe he never saw Cassian as his opponent at all, but as the opportunity he needed to step into the divine realm.”
“I’ve got a strong feeling that if Ashton successfully steps into the divine realm, Cassian is as good as dead.” “This is unbelievable! The fight for the title of King of Javonbury just keeps getting better.”
“Now it all depends on whether Leona and Faye can buy Ashton enough time. If his breakthrough is interrupted, everything he’s done will be wasted.”
In the combat arena, Cassian heard Gavin’s warning, and his confidence vanished in an instant. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he locked onto Ashton. A moment later, he realized Ashton was attempting to break through to the divine realm.
“Damn it!”
Fear and unease flashed through Cassian’s mind. He wanted to charge straight at Ashton and rip his head off. But Leona and Faye’s coordinated assault blocked his path.
“Get out of the way!” he roared.
He knew he couldn’t afford to remain on the defensive. If Ashton broke through into the divine realm, the consequences would be disastrous.
Cassian decisively dropped his defensive barrier despite the risk of serious injury. His figure flashed forward as his hand clenched into a fist, and he drove a crushing strike straight toward Leona.
At that instant, he endured a direct hit from the Phoenixborne power, and blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth. Even so, the terrifying force of his punch overwhelmed everything in its path.
Leona’s power shattered under the impact, and the blow hurled her through the air. Her body slammed against the edge of the barrier with a heavy crash. She spat out a mouthful of blood as her inner energy flow became
unstable. The blow left her severely injured.
“Get in my way again and you’re dead!”
Cassian snarled as he accelerated toward Ashton. He was determined to kill Ashton before the breakthrough could be completed. But when Cassian closed to within a few steps of his target, Faye stepped directly into his path.

She said firmly with absolute resolve, “If you want to get to him, you’ll have to kill me first.”
“I’ll grant your wish, then,” Cassian replied without hesitation.
Knowing he couldn’t waste another moment, he immediately condensed the Dominion Seal and hurled it forward to kill her.
Faye clenched her teeth and launched into the air. She drew on the full power of the Phoenixborne blood within her.
