A surge of killing intent descended on Cassian, making him shudder. The moment his eyes met Ashton’s, a deep, instinctive f gripped him. He staggered back a step as cold sweat beaded on his forehead.
He had never expected Ashton to break into the divine realm. Ashton’s aura and bloodline pressure now bore down on him, weighing so heavily that even moving felt difficult.
What unsettled him most was the sudden realization that he was already inside Ashton’s domain, with no way to escape.
“Ashton! Do you really think that breaking into the divine realm by luck makes you my equal? You underestimate me. I’ve already reached the pinnacle of the divine realm. Killing you will be effortless.”
Cassian’s gaze sharpened as his confidence returned. Despite the shock, he still believed he held the advantage.
He had defeated countless divine–realm fighters over the years, and Ashton would be no exception. If he crushed Ashton now, he could wipe away the humiliation he had just suffered and restore his reputation.
“Really? Then, come and prove it. I just hope you are not that weak. Otherwise, I won’t even be able to test the power of my divine realm, or learn how to fight at this level.”
Ashton had no interest in wasting another word on Cassian. He was eager to find out just how strong he had become.
In the next instant, he shot forward. Using his self–created Draconic Shadow Step to its fullest, Ashton closed the distance in a blur. His fingers curled into a fist mid–motion, and he drove a punch straight toward Cassian’s vital point.
“He’s fast!”
“What a strange movement technique.”
“Ashton’s gotten much stronger. This isn’t a small increase in power.”
Ashton’s punch came down, shattering layers of space before slamming straight into Cassian’s chest.
Cassian’s expression changed drastically. His eyes had been locked on Ashton the entire time, so he could read his movements and choose the right counter. But now, he saw nothing.
By the time he realized what had happened, he had already fallen inside Ashton’s Absolute Domain, and the punch was already upon him. With death closing in, he could only raise his left hand and form a light barrier to block the strike.
The impact exploded with a sharp, tearing blast as waves of force swept outward. Cassian’s body was hurled away by the overwhelming power of Ashton’s divine realm strike, and the light barrier he had raised shattered instantly into dust. The force of the punch continued crashing into him.
Cassian spat out a mouthful of blood as he was thrown backward again, crashing violently against the edge of the barrier. His face filled with disbelief.
He had expected Ashton to become powerful after entering the divine realm, but he had never imagined strength like this. It was far beyond anything he had expected.
Even worse, his Overlord Physique bloodline remained suppressed the entire time, preventing him from fully unleashing his power. Now that they stood in the same realm, he could finally feel just how terrifying Ashton truly was.
“Ashton… Why don’t we call this round a draw?” Cassian suddenly said, torcing a friendly smile as he lowered his voice:
