“The year we agreed on has not passed yet. Our fight isn’t over. What right do you have to take Celia away?” she demanded with reddened eyes.

“What right?” Ashton looked down at her and answered with cold indifference. “Because I’m taking her now. Because I’m the King of Javonbury. Is that enough?”

Pain pierced Roxy’s heart. Her expression dimmed as she stood there dazed and silent, unable to utter a single word.

Ashton didn’t look at her again. Drawing back his aura, he smiled gently and walked toward Lawrence as the crowd erupted in cheers.
