Lawrence cast a brief glance at Jaden and the others before shifting his gaze toward the distance, as though he were waiting for someone.

“So, they’re not coming after all,” he murmured, a trace of disappointment passing across his face.

The atmosphere around Terminus Cliff instantly turned cold. Violence could break out at any moment, and the standoff now forming was even more dangerous than the clash between Ashton and Cassian.

“What are you doing? Why are you driving us out?”

him.”

She placed a hand on her daughter’s shoulder and continued, “You should know that the Legion stands in the way of too many people. There are powerful factions inside and outside Casoria that have been waiting to see it fall. Their enemies are everywhere.

“Now that the Legion is already in decline, do you really think anyone will allow it to rise again? Even if it costs them a great price, they will destroy the Legion completely.”

Wanda felt a chill run through her. She looked at Ashton, worry written all over her face.

“You mean, since the Dominion Vanguard and the Empyrean Sentinel already decided to kill Mr. Clarkson Senior and Ashton today, there would be no future threat? No matter who wins the fight, the result won’t change?” she asked in a trembling voice.

Julia looked at Ashton, whose clothes were soaked with blood, and spoke slowly.
