Do Not Fall For The Baseball Captains
Cabin Check-In
Victoria’s POV
Vouche
By the time the van rolled into the driveway, the last streaks of daylight had disappeared beneath the horizon, leaving the sky awash in deep indigo and violet.
The cabin took my breath away.
It sat on a rugged cliff overlooking the ocean, all warm timber, stone, and towering walls of glass that reflected the moonlight dancing across the water.
The steady crash of waves against the rocks drifted up from below, mixing with the salty breeze that swept across the property.
One by one, we climbed out of the van, stretching stiff backs and cramped legs.
“Whoa.” Nate breathed, dropping his duffel bag onto the gravel with a thud. “Coach… did you rob a bank? Because this place looks like it belongs in a movie.”
Coach Miller snorted as he hauled a cooler out of the back.
“If I’d robbed a bank, Nate. I’d be sipping cocktails somewhere in the Caribbean, not stuck in a cabin with a bunch of fresh college grads who still act like teenagers.”
A chorus of offended groans broke out.
Miles pointed at Nate.
“He’s the teenager. The rest of us sure act like adults.”
That earned another round of laughter before he looked back at the cabin.
“…but he is right. This place is amazing.”
Leo smiled to himself as he stared out at the ocean.
“Waking up to that view tomorrow is going to be hard to beat.”
Coach chuckled, slipping an arm around Natasha’s shoulders.
“Don’t give me the credit.” He nodded toward her. “She’s the one who spent weeks finding this place and dealing with the rental agency.”
Natasha smiled, shaking her head.
“It was worth it.”
“Thank you, Natasha!” we all shouted together.
She laughed, waving her hand dismissively with a bright smile.
“Oh, please, stop! You’re all going to make me blush. Just go inside and enjoy it.”
“Alright, listen up,” Coach called out, grabbing the master keys from his pocket. “It’s late. There’s a team of local caterers who left fresh food and snacks in the kitchen for us. Go inside, find your assigned rooms, grab something to eat, and get some rest. Tomorrow morning, we hit the beach.”

A loud wave of cheers went up as everyone grabbed their bags and headed up the wooden steps.
保存
Elijah carried both of our heavy suitcases in one hand, his other hand firmly anchored around my waist as he guided me up the stairs to the second floor.
Our room was at the end of the hall, featuring a heavy oak door and a private balcony overlooking the ocean.
The moment Elijah closed the bedroom door behind us, he dropped our bags onto the floor and turned to me.
His hands found my hips, gently backing me against the wooden door before I could even ask what he was doing.
Then he kissed me.
It wasn’t rushed, but there was an urgency behind it, like he’d been holding himself back ever since we hit the road.
His hands slid up to cup the sides of my face while his thumb stroked my cheekbone.
I let out a soft sound, my hands instantly rising to rest against his chest, feeling the heavy, rapid thudding of his heart beneath his shirt.
“Elijah…” I breathed against his lips, pulling back just an inch to catch my breath. “Stop…”
He leaned down, burying his face into the crook of my neck, leaving a trail of slow, warm kisses along my skin.
“Stop me then,” he whispered, his voice dark and velvet-rough against my collarbone.
Dlaughed softly.
“You know I can’t.”
“I know,” he whispered.
I smiled, my fingers curling into the back of his shirt as I pulled him in for another kiss, letting myself get completely lost in the weight of his attention.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“Hey! Audio porn department!” Miles’s voice shouted through the heavy wood of the door, accompanied by two hard thuds of his fist.
“I know exactly what’s going on in there, and I’d like to remind you that these walls were not built with my emotional well- being in mind. I refuse to have my summer ruined!”
Elijah groaned, letting his forehead fall against mine.
“For the love of..”
