DON’T STOP (Lila and Darrell) novel Chapter 68

26linked and dragged myself back to the living room. The TV was still droning about last night’s game. My pulse was stul

elevated

“Yeah.” I called back, voice rogher than I meant it to be. “Sounds good.”

She appeared in the doorway a minute later, two steaming bowls in her hands, smiling like everything was normal. Like we hadn’t just agreed to tell her parents we were getting married tomorrow.

I took the bowl she offered, thanked her, and stared down at the noodles like they held answers

They didn’t.

All I could think about was Bella. How she hadn’t texted yet. How badly I wanted her to. I wanted to know if she had arve home safely.

Gina sat beside me on the couch, legs crossed, blowing on her food. “So… tomorrow, then. We’ll do it.”

I nodded, forcing a half-smile. “Tomorrow.”

I took a bite. It was so hot that it burned my tongue. I quickly set the bowl aside. The TV was still on low, some late-night replay I wasn’t watching. My body, though? Still wired from the memory loop. The hardness hadn’t gone down. If anything it was worse now-persistent, aching, impossible to ignore.

She glanced over mid-bite, eyes flicking down to my lap. Her spoon froze halfway to her mouth.

Then she screamed-short, sharp, genuine shock.

She gaped at me, bowl forgotten in her lap. “You’re unbelievable.”

I didn’t argue. Just turned and walked down the short hallway to my bedroom, closing the door behind me with a quaecclick

The second the latch caught, I leaned back against it, breathing hard. My hand was already moving-shding down palming myself through the fabric. Relief hit fast, but it wasn’t enough. Not nearly

I dropped onto the edge of the bed, shoved my sweats down just far enough, and wrapped my hand around myself properly. Eyes closed. Mind gone.

Bella.

The sex again-vivid, relentless. Her body slick and warm against mine, thighs clamped ught around my hips as I thrust slow, deep, drawing out every gasp. The way her nails had raked down my back when I picked up the pace, our bodies

pounding so loud-4-drowned out everything but her moans. Her head thrown back throat exposed, lips parted on a leng cry when she came, clenching so hard around me I saw stars. The little aftershocks, her trembling against the whispering my name like she couldn’t help it,

My grip tightened. I was going faster now. The memory sharpened: frer eyes fluttering open right after, hazy and surprind like she hadn’t expected to feel that good. The way she’d bitten her lip when I pulled out, both of us breathing ragge
