Albert scanned the evidence Josie had gathered. He gave a curt nod. “Got it. I’ll have someone look into this right away. Thanks for the heads–up.”

The second Josie and Zane were out the door, Albert’s smile vanished. He didn’t even blink as he tossed the evidence straight into

the trash.

A few missing people? Big deal.

Why the hell would he waste his time on something so petty?

“That Josie girl isn’t even part of our base. Why the hell is she sticking her nose in our business? She must be bored out of her mind,” Albert scoffed. “If she wasn’t a Rank–4 with three different powers, I wouldn’t even give her the time of day.”

What’s her deal now?” Tate asked.

“She’s got a vendetta against her sister, always trying to stir up shit. She showed me a bunch of videos, claiming June is behind the disappearances in the base. She even said Cyrus is an Alpha who used psychic powers to glitch the gate cams and snatch those people.” Albert gave a dismissive laugh. “Typical woman. No vision. A few missing bodies? Who gives a damn?”

Honestly, you couldn’t blame Albert for thinking that way.
