Chapter 435.

Cyrus Finch’s eyes flickered slightly.

He didn’t deny it, nor did he refuse. He gave his silent consent.

Julian Finch grinned. “Then let’s pick up the pace! What about that group of humans behind us? Are we still looking out for them?

“Why bother with them?” Cyrus countered. “Whether they live or die is their own fate.”

“Heh, I thought you were keeping them alive as future rations.” Julian said with a twisted laugh. “All those Supers-even if they were powered up by our own Undead Cores, so what? Food is food!”

In the eyes of the Undead, human Supers were nothing more than supplements. High-tier Supers, in particular, were delicious, high-potency tonics.

Of course, a Super who had reached their rank through sheer talent and hard work tasted completely different from one who had been “force-fed” on Undead Cores. It was the difference between a free-range chicken and a factory-farmed one. A chicken that grew up eating bugs in the wild had a much better texture and flavor than one raised on industrial feed.

But then again, when you couldn’t get a free-range chicken, a factory-farmed one was a perfectly acceptable substitute.

To Cyrus and Julian, the Supers from Fort City were no different from caged chickens. Usually, you’d keep an eye on your coop to make sure a weasel didn’t snatch them, but right now, Cyrus’s mind wasn’t on his livestock. He was consumed by the looming shadow in his heart-when would the Doomsday Quake and Megatsunami arrive?

The massive commotion Josie Quinn had caused earlier was a clear sign that she didn’t want to waste a single second on the road. It w obvious she knew the disaster was imminent. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be driving like a maniac, covering so much ground in just a few days.

Her actions only confirmed that the magnitude of the impending disaster would be staggering.

The Undead might not be human, but they still feared death. In the face of a planet-shattering natural disaster, even the most powerfu Undead would be wiped out. Cyrus was currently only a Tier-6, nearly Tier-7, High-tier Undead. While he could be considered powerful, he was still a long way from becoming a true Undead King or Undead Emperor.

Even an Undead King might not emerge from such a disaster unscathed. What chance did he have at his current level?

That was why Cyrus didn’t care about the Supers from Fort City Base. His only goal was to leave this area and reach a safe zone as quickly as possible before making further plans. As for food, humans were everywhere.

The population in Sierra City was substantial. It’s quite possible the quality of ‘food’ there might even be better than what they have here. Like free-range chickens, they’d definitely be tastier after a long trek through the mountains!

With that thought, Cyrus and Julian suddenly accelerated, leaving the group from Fort City Base far behind as they vanished into the

distance.

The moment the two monsters left, the people from the base let out a collective sigh of relief.

To say they weren’t nervous would be a lie. Those two Alpha Undead were terrifying. If they had felt like it, they could have turned back at any moment and devoured the entire convoy. Although the base now had several Tier-6 Supers, everyone knew in their hearts just how “inflated” their ranks were.
