Chapter 439.
Julian, you hit Tier–6 too?” Josie Quinn asked.
“Just leveled up.” Julian Finch bragged, displaying his fire techniques. “Don’t tell me you
haven’t yet.”
“Funny enough, I just did too.” Josie raised her hand, and the bladestorm array manifested behind her instantly
“Metallic, Plant–type, and Spatial–type… all three at Tier–6?” Julian stared at her in shock.
“Why wouldn’t they be?” Josie’s lips curled. “I still have more than enough to take you down!”
“So what? My brother is almost Tier–7!” Even though he was now a Tier–6 Undead, Julian was as hot–headed and prone to ourbursts as
ever.
Cyrus Finch didn’t say a word the entire time; he just watched Josie.
“You’re here because you know about the earthquake, right?” Josie said. “Following my lead has made things quite easy for you, hasn’t it? How about settling the service fee?”
As soon as she finished speaking, the bladestorm array behind her surged toward Cyrus and Julian.
Unsurprisingly, the blades were stopped a meter in front of Cyrus.
That invisible psionic barrier was even more solid than the last time she’d seen him.
With one move, Josie had tested Cyrus’s strength. He was indeed on the verge of hitting Tier–7.
*Dammit!*
*Why was she always one step behind him?*
It was frustrating.
But then she thought about it–Cyrus only had one superpower, while she had leveled up three simultaneously. She was still the
superior one!
“You first.” Josie retracted her weapons and stepped aside, clearing the path. “After you.”
Cyrus and Julian looked at the broken bridge ahead, both frowning simultaneously.
Even though they were powerful Undead, they were still carbon–based lifeforms. They couldn’t defy the laws of physics and fly dozens of miles in a single leap.
Even if they could fly, it was only for brief moments of levitation, not the sustained flight of immortals from a cultivation novel. They
couldn’t cross it either.
“You first!” Julian gave a cunning smile. “There are only two of us. We aren’t in a hurry.”
“Please,” Winnie Lane couldn’t help but scoff. “It’s obvious you can’t cross it either, right?”
Julian immediately bared his fangs at Winnie.
Terrified, Winnie dove behind Josie.
