Josie Quinn had finished organizing the new site, and everyone began moving in one by one.

A new home meant a new sense of hope.

Fortunately, Josie’s spatial storage was massive enough to hold everything they owned. If they were missing anything, they simply built it on the spot. With Metallic and Terrestrial Supers on the team, building was incredibly easy. They could make the rooms as large or as wide as they wanted. Since their group was small, they had plenty of space to play with.

Outside, they constructed one greenhouse after another according to the requirements of the Agri-Science Institute. Once the soil, seeds, and fertilizer were in place, the group of elderly experts immediately found their rhythm and happily threw themselves into farming.

The children had their own new routine as well. A small classroom was set up, and the professors took turns teaching them. They covered the basics-English, math, physics, and chemistry-but the rest was dedicated to combat training.

In this world, they couldn’t afford to live like they did before the apocalypse. Most of these children would eventually end up on the front lines, so several teachers worked together to lead the combat sessions.

Seeing the children settled so perfectly, Kira Sinclair finally breathed a sigh of relief. On the journey here, she had been on edge, worried that Josie might have been lying or just playing with her. Now that she saw Josie had not only kept her promise but exceeded it, Kira’s loyalty to Josie and this new base became absolute.

She became incredibly hardworking, running back and forth to help wherever she could. She had the Cryo Superpower, but since it wasn’t summer yet, there wasn’t much need for ice. Her ability was temporarily sidelined, but she didn’t let herself stay idle.

Whether it was helping to tidy rooms, hanging curtains, changing the bedding sets, or scrubbing tables and chairs with a bucket of water, she was always busy. Sometimes she would even head to the greenhouses to help weed or catch insects.

Because of her diligence, everyone at the base welcomed her warmly. No one was going to reject a beautiful girl who was hardworking, capable, and could hold her own in a fight.

Especially since Quinshaw Base had a massive surplus of men and too few women.

People didn’t really count Josie as just a girl; to them, she was a Valkyrie, a human T-Rex. She was their leader, someone far beyond their reach to even dream about. This left Zane Shaw as the only one who might have a chance, but even Zane didn’t dare mention his feelings to Josie, terrified of upsetting her.

As a result, Kira became very popular at the base. However, having experienced betrayal and heartbreak, she wasn’t interested in anyone’s romantic advances. She only wanted to watch the children grow up safely.

Three days later, everyone gathered for another meeting. As was the custom, it was a full assembly. Kira and Winnie Lane prepared tea for everyone.

“Now that we’re settled, it’s time to start our preliminary work,” Josie said. “We’ll split into two groups. one group will head out to gather intelligence, while the other stays behind to protect the elderly and the children. I’ll be operating solo.”

“Maybe I should go,” Zane said immediately. “I’ll take a few people and try to blend in once we find a human base to see what the

situation is.”

“I can’t let you do all the work,” Josie replied, shaking her head. “Besides, there are three different human bases here. You won’t be able to handle it alone. I’m also not comfortable letting you go by yourselves. The Undead in this region are high-tier now; Tier-4 and Tier- are common, and there might even be a few Tier-6 ones lurking around.”
