Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 492

< Chapter 492

Chapter 492.

Josie Quinn wore a mask, a black hoodie, black joggers, and a black baseball cap, following them from a distance. She didn’t get aw close; otherwise, June and Jaxon would have noticed. They were both Tier-6 Supers, after all, and detecting a tail would he be

for them.

Instead, she left the tracking to Lirio.

Josie shared a mental connection with the plant. Lirio hopped inconspicuously from one person’s clothes to anothers, then to a third following them at a safe distance.

Josie waited for the two to be alone, looking for an opportunity to strike. However, whether it was due to good luck or sheer vigilan the couple never separated and stayed within the crowds. It wasn’t a convenient time to move. Josie looked at the sky and decisively chose to give up for the day.

She would continue staking them out tomorrow. They had to be alone eventually!

And so, Josie followed them for three consecutive days until she finally grasped their routine. After sleeping together for three days. couple was finally starting to feel a bit restless staying indoors. On the fourth day, they decided to head out for a big meal and a movie

Even though the movies were just the same ones from before the apocalypse being replayed over and over, it was better than nothing

To make her move, Josie begrudgingly spent three Credits on a ticket and successfully sneaked into the theater. The cinema looked a old and worn, but it was still functional. Josie sat down, keeping her head low. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see June and Jaxon still glued to each other, making out.

*Tsk, tsk, tsk.*

Three days of being together and they still hadn’t had enough. It seemed like “true love.” They really were the destined leads!

The movie was an old one from years ago that everyone in the room had likely seen dozens of times. As soon as the credits rolled, the other viewers stood up and left. Eventually, only Josie, June, and Jaxon remained.

The people who could afford movies these days were either wealthy or powerful. Therefore, even if the theater staff knew people were still inside, they didn’t dare come in to clear the room. The privileged socialites could stay as long as they wanted; no one dared provoke them. If someone did, they’d wake up the next day either dead or sold to The Pit to become a combat slave.

This was exactly what Josie wanted. She really didn’t want to be disturbed during what she was about to do. Although things might get a bit loud in a moment, it didn’t matter-even if she tore the place down, no one would easily approach. Such was the benefit of elite privilege.

Josie moved closer to them, preparing for a sneak attack. Before she reached them, she heard Jaxon ask June, “You’ve been asking around for days. This Josie Quinn… who is she to you? Why are you constantly looking for her?”

Josie paused her movements. She also wanted to know what June was planning.

June answered nonchalantly, “I’m looking for her to settle old scores.”

“You have a grudge? What kind? Let me help you!” Jaxon perked up immediately upon hearing his goddess had an enemy. I’ll sped cay girlfriend!”

“Sweet talker!” June rolled her eyes at him, though she clearly enjoyed the feeling of being pampered. She added casually, “She’s my half-sister. She’s the one who cut off my mom’s legs. I’m going to send her to The Pit. I want to make sure she can nevet escape my grasp for the rest of her life. I’ll make her wish she were dead but ensure she can’t die! Only then will my hatred be satisfied!”
