Eleven Years All to the Wrong Man novel Chapter 202

But the man she loved was lying right in front of her. She could no longer control the impulse in her heart. Casting aside all conventions, Melissa made the boldest move of her twenty-one years.

She wrapped her arms around Evan’s neck, closed her eyes, and kissed him without a second thought.

At first, her warm lips just brushed against his lightly, but then she grew bolder. Her hand slipped inside his pajama top, her fingers stroking his bare chest directly.

The cool touch made Evan frown in his sleep.

He’d been awake for nearly twenty-four hours, and now he was so deeply asleep that his consciousness was completely disconnected. He couldn’t wake up. He only sensed someone kissing him and subconsciously assumed it was Emma Hayes.

Gradually, Melissa felt the sleeping man begin to respond.

He parted his lips, his tongue slowly exploring her mouth, tangling with hers.

Something inside her burst like fireworks. For a moment, she stopped breathing. She opened her eyes to look at the man so close to her, and they grew hot, slowly filling with tears.

The sweet kiss began to rouse Evan from his sleep, though he was still not fully conscious. Keeping his eyes closed, he shifted his weight, pinning the woman in his arms beneath him.

Their breaths mingled as the temperature in the room climbed, their bodies growing warmer.

“Mr. Cooper…”

Suddenly, a soft, delicate voice came from beneath him. It wasn't Emma's voice; it belonged to another woman.

Evan’s eyes snapped open. When he clearly saw who was under him, he abruptly released her, pushed himself up, and moved away from the woman on the bed.

Then he suddenly remembered what he’d told Melissa before he left Averton City.

He had said she could continue to live here even while he was away. But his reaction just now…

“Sorry, I didn’t mean anything by that.”

Looking at the girl on the bed, her clothes disheveled and her eyes red, Evan let out an almost imperceptible sigh. “I haven’t slept in a day. I’m exhausted, so just now… I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay…”

Melissa shook her head slightly, her gaze still fixed on Evan with a pitiful expression.
