Sienna let her pull at her, saying nothing.

Tristan shot a look at his bodyguards.

A bodyguard pulled out a sedative and injected it into Nora. Seconds later, they dragged Nora's limp body away.

"Where are you taking my mother? Let her go!"

Tristan threw the pill bottle on the ground, wiping his hands as he warned, "Your mother won't last long. Addicts like her will do anything once the craving hits, even kill themselves."

"It was you!" Sienna screamed hysterically. "You got her hooked on purpose!"

"Sienna, everything requires evidence. Your mother was ill, so I introduced her to doctors and paid for her treatments. Her addiction is entirely due to her own lack of self-control. But even so, I didn't abandon you two, did I? You know what choice to make. I shouldn't have to teach you."

Tristan's voice grew colder, his tone dripping with impatience.

Sienna stared at him, her jaw clenched tight.

"Fine."

"I knew raising you wasn't a waste." Tristan stood up slowly, smoothing his suit jacket before walking past her.

Before leaving, Alfred placed an exquisite box on the table, then led the men out to follow Tristan.

Sienna slumped back, then pushed herself up with a wince and opened the box.

Looking at what was inside, she let out a cold scoff.

With her phone turned off, Sylvia's world became much quieter.

She slept at Naomi's place for a full day and night. Watching Naomi and Edwin being so incredibly affectionate lifted her spirits considerably.

Naomi had suffered for the first two decades of her life, and it was about time she found happiness.

If Naomi hadn't mentioned Rupert and Reese's wedding coming up in two days, Sylvia would have stayed longer.

Naomi and Edwin could sit out of other events, but Edwin was Rupert's brother. It was impossible for him not to return to the Garcia family to help with the wedding.

Naturally, Sylvia had no reason to stay, so she packed her things and returned to her own apartment.
