The ghostly figure was Yuelan Rouxuan, who silently appeared behind her, as usual.
Before she could speak, another figure showed up.
"Not dead yet, woman?" Mu Anwen uttered it in a low and gravelly tone. He pulled her over and checked her everywhere to make sure that she was fine.
"Did you suffer any injuries? You did!" Mu Anwen didn’t need her response, and he already knew it.
"How do you know?" She was flabbergasted. She was healed; how did he find out?
"Don’t you love your face? Why do you always get hurt here?" He rubbed her cheeks.
She hurriedly took out a mirror to look. Someone’s face in the mirror was as flawless as jade. Not even a trace of a scar could be seen.
"There is nothing on my face." She was speechless.
"I can smell it—your blood." He leaned his beautiful face close to her face and sniffed it. His eyes flashed a dark light.
Her blood smelled too seductive and delicious. His pupils slowly turned vertical as a snake, and his skin turned paler. He slowly stretched out his tongue and was about to lick her neck when she dodged his touch and looked at him with vigilance.
"Mu Anwen, what’s wrong with you?" She shook his shoulders.
"Demon?" Yuelan Rouxuan stood in front of her and tilted his head.
Other men surrounded Mu Anwen in the middle. This man is dangerous! They smelled the scent of a demon from him.
"Don’t look at me like I’m your enemy." Mu Anwen suppressed his thirst for blood, and his face returned to normal.
"Who are you?" She asked with hostility.
"Stupid woman, even you don’t trust me?" Mu Anwen’s tone was low.
"It’s still your poisonous tongue that shows who you are." She nodded in understanding.
Everyone’s lips twitched.
Mu Anwen’s face was blue and black. Should he be happy that she trusted him, or should he feel dissatisfied with her words?
"I don’t care what your identity is, but remember, I won’t let you hurt a single hair of the people for whom I care." She spoke her words seriously.
"What if they hurt me?" He narrowed his eyes.
"If they hurt you, they must have their own reasons." She shrugged her shoulders and stretched out her hands helplessly.
"Woman, you are very base and unfair!" He glared at her in disbelief.
"You can say that I’m selfish and only care about those I love." She tilted her head and didn’t feel anything wrong with that.
"You!! Humph!!" He grunted in displeasure and dissatisfaction.
Everyone felt warmed by her protection. She became more and more lovely.
