Ex-Mate Wants Me Back (Seraphina and Mortimer) novel Chapter 199

Chapter 199

Third Person’s POV

“Why bother? I’ve never been your enemy. You just need to convince him to divorce me sooner. But I really didn’t know Mortimer had such a unique way of loving you-refusing to give you any official title, practically forcing you to be the pathetic homewrecker who can never hold her head high ”

Those words completely shattered Vivian’s delusional defenses.

Seraphina stepped forward, grabbed the now completely unhinged Vivian who was blocking the door, and casually shoved her aside to clear a path.

Vivian scrambled up, grinding her teeth. “You just used your aura to attack a lower-ranking omega! I’m going to the security bureau to report you! Just you wait!”

“Go right ahead. Just remember to bring your injury evaluation report,” Seraphina said, smiling and waving at her.

Her absolute lack of fear made Vivian let out an ear-piercing shriek, instantly drawing disgusted glares from the doctors, nurses, and patients passing by in the hallway.

Vivian had originally come here to assert her dominance, but she hadn’t expected Seraphina to become completely impervious to all her tricks.

Shooting Seraphina one last venomous glare, she grabbed her bag and prepared to storm out.

But after taking just two steps, she abruptly stopped in her tracks and turned back to face Seraphina.

The face that had just been twisted in rage instantly morphed into a smug, triumphant smirk.

She tilted her chin up haughtily, falling right back into her arrogant, victorious persona.

Seraphina said nothing.

Great. Now she was absolutely certain Vivian genuinely had some underlying psychiatric issues-not wolf-soul fracture syndrome, but more likely split personality disorder or severe cognitive dissonance.

Vivian marched right back over to Seraphina in her stilettos, smiling smugly.

She lowered her voice to a whisper. “You’re so smug right now because you have absolutely no idea how much Mortimer actually cares about me. He was so worried the Davis family would be attacked by those idiotic netizens, so terrified I might get hurt in the crossfire, that he spent a fortune on PR yesterday to wipe that leaked video completely off the internet.”

Hearing that, Seraphina’s brow furrowed sharply. Her previous detached amusement completely vanished, sinking into a heavy

chill.

Seeing Vivian’s twisted smile, she instantly guessed what her final trump card was.

Sure enough, in the very next second, Vivian confirmed her suspicions with a vicious sneer.

“That little mutt you keep… the one that got tossed into the sewer. Guess who did that? My mother threw it in there with her own two hands! Hahaha!”

Seraphina froze dead in her tracks, the blood in her veins turning to solid ice.

“If he hadn’t recognized that the people abusing the dog in the video were my parents, why on earth would Mortimer go to such massive lengths to suppress the trending topic? In his eyes, my family’s reputation is worth a million times more than some filthy animal you picked up!”

Seraphina’s fingernails dug brutally into her own palms.

The thought of the man who, just days ago, had pampered Dash like a treasure at home, even dropping his proud Alpha facade for the puppy, only to turn around and secretly cover up the crimes of Dash’s abusers-a violent wave of nausea and raw fury surged in her chest

It made sense. Vivian was his savior The Davis family had been under the Blades’ wing for years. Why would Mortimer ever let them be ripped apart by public opinion?

No matter how smart or lovable Dash was, in Mortimer’s eyes, he was ultimately just a common pet dog with no noble bloodline.

How could a mere dog’s life ever compare to his precious Vivian in the eyes of the suprerne alpha?

Her eyes burned red with sheer, unfiltered rage. Deep within her dark human irises, the feral, golden glint of an out-of-control wolf flashed dangerously.

Catching that rare glimpse of Seraphina losing control finally gave Vivian the sick thrill of turning the tables.

She arrogantly lifted her chin, staring down at Seraphina like a victorious conqueror. “I told you a long time ago: to Mortimer, you mean absolutely nothing. What is the point of clinging to a man who doesn’t even want you? If you have any self-respect left, you’d break the bond with him and…”

“Thank you.”

Seraphina suddenly cut her off. Those two freezing words instantly choked the smugness right out of Vivian.

Vivian froze, honestly wondering if she had misheard. She let out a mocking scoff. “Have you actually lost your mind from anger, Seraphina? You-”

Seraphina swung her hand with tremendous force, aiming a vicious slap right at her face.

But Vivian clumsily, yet narrowly, managed to block Seraphina’s wrist mid-air.

“You dare try to hit me?!” Vivian shrieked.
