Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Ivy’s Point of View

The moment the word uterus left my lips, the silence in Luna Gertrude’s bedroom shattered completely. Ama burst into tears as soon as she heard that her mother had this specific, dangerous illness. Her knees buckled, and she grabbed onto my loose robes, her fingers digging into the fabric of my disguise.

"Please, Physician Lin!" Ama sobbed, her voice cracking as she looked up at me. "I beg you, you have to save my mother! Every other doctor said she was going to die. You are the Divine Doctor, you can do anything! Please don’t let her leave us!"

I paused, looking down at the weeping princess, and then at Alpha Gary, whose face was completely pale with desperation.

"Lady Ama, please calm down," I said, trying to calm her. "I can save her. The illness is severe, but it is not beyond my reach."

"Can you treat her right now, Physician Lin? Name your price. Anything." Alpha Gary said.

I shook my head. "I can save her, but now I do not have all the necessary tools with me. This requires specific surgical instruments and refined medicinal extracts. I need to wait until I get back to my pharmacy to prepare the proper tools before treating the illness. I will return the moment everything is ready."

Without wasting another second, I bowed politely to the family. With Wolf and Blade behind me, we left the Shadow-Claw pack house early. We rode our horses hard, until we reached the Pack.

AZURE LEAFS:

The moment we slipped through the back entrance of my store, Azure Leafs, I threw off my traveling cloak and immediately began instructing my staff. Dakia and the junior apothecaries ran over, their faces alert.

"Dakia, I need the threaded scalpels, the sterilized catgut sutures, and the high-grade numbing tonics prepared immediately," I ordered, my voice loud and authoritative.

"Clear the back laboratory. I need the concentrated moon-lily extract and the blood-clotting powders measured out in exact proportions. We are performing a delicate reproductive surgery, and if the equipment isn’t perfectly sterile, the infection will turn lethal. Move, fast!"

The staff scattered instantly, rushing to fulfill my commands.

Once the orders were set at the shop, I rushed back to the Silverside Pack palace, stripping away the Physician Lin disguise and changing back into my normal attire. The moment I stepped into our private living quarters, I found Alpha Alaric, Luna Helena, and Dominic all waiting anxiously for me.

"Ivy, thank the heavens you are back," Luna Helena said, rushing over to grab my hands. "Tell us, how bad is Gertrude’s condition?"

"It is a bit dangerous," I explained, looking at the three of them. "Her uterus is heavily infected, and her life force is draining because the pack doctors couldn’t locate the source. But you don’t need to despair. I saw a specific cure for this exact disease in ancient shaman medicine texts. The surgical procedure is complex, but the shamanic energetic flow will knit her organs back together safely."

Alpha Alaric let out a loud sigh of relief, nodding his head. "If anyone can pull her back from the brink, it is you, child."

Later that night, the palace grew quiet and still. The tension of the day finally began to fade. I was in our bedroom, double-checking my personal medical notes, when Dominic rolled his wheelchair closer. He reached out, his large, warm hands gently wrapping around my waist, pulling me down slightly toward him.

"You need to rest, Ivy," Dominic said, his eyes locked onto mine with a depth of emotion that made my heart race.

"I’m fine, Dominic," I smiled softly, leaning into his touch. "I just want to ensure everything is perfect for tomorrow."

"I mean it," Dominic said, his voice deep, conversational, and full of intense pride.

"I sat there today watching you handle two Alpha houses without breaking a sweat. I am really lucky to have met such a powerful, incredible wife. You didn’t just cure me and pull me out of that hopeless coma... now you are treating my family, our closest allies, and the people of this kingdom. You are carrying the weight of the entire alliance on your shoulders."

"I am just doing my duty as a healer, and as your wife," I said, my cheeks flushing a warm pink.
