It was swelteringly hot, and the fabric on Keira’s back was damp with perspiration. Whenever a breeze blew, it sent a cool, almost shivery feeling against her skin.

She furrowed her brows slightly and wiped her sweat off with a tissue.

Just as Keira had a moment of free time and hadn’t even had a chance to sit down, she received a call from Chelsea.

“Keira, Randall had an accident. Come over now,” she said, her voice trembling, almost

incoherent.

“Calm down. I will come over right away.”

Keira became nervous as she listened. Chelsea was usually mild–mannered, and she wouldn’t have lost her composure like this if it weren’t for something serious happening.

Keira hurriedly explained to Markus and immediately rushed over there without delay.

Randall got injured while filming, coincidentally during a scene with Marlee.

The scene took place on a high platform, where he, as the male supporting actor, was supposed to protect the female lead. He was just supposed to be knocked down on the side during the filming process. However, as he had just run up from below, Marlee accidentally tripped, and in her panic, she pushed him.

Randall was entirely caught off–guard. He missed his steps, plunging into empty space, and tumbled down dozens of steps. As a result, he broke his leg.

“You did it on purpose! There’s nothing here. How could you possibly have been tripped!”

Keira hadn’t even approached closer when she heard Chelsea’s exasperated voice. Marlee cried with tears streaming down her face, clutching her chest as if she was overwhelmed with sadness. Choking back sobs, she retorted, “Chelsea, I know you’re good friends and you care about Randall. He got hurt because of me, and I feel so guilty. I wish it was me who got hurt

instead.

“You can be angry with me, but you can’t accuse me wrongly.”

“So many people are watching. Mr. Fleming and Andres are here too. How could I possibly have done it on purpose? Besides, I had no grudge against Randall. Why would I want to hurt him?” Andres supported Marlee, who could barely stand and looked at Chelsea with a gloomy expression.“You must have evidence if you want to accuse someone. You’ve only been working with Keira for a few days, and yet you’ve already adopted her irrational, ill–tempered ways?

“Mr. Finley, what does this have to do with Keira? You can’t be so unreasonable. I saw it clearly, she did it on purpose!” Chelsea gritted her teeth, her expression confident and unyielding, not at all intimidated by Andres‘ words.

“So many people didn’t see it, but you did?” Andres squinted his eyes slightly.
