Andres felt a pang in his heart but quickly composed himself.

Andres tried to speak gently, as he once would to calm her when she was moody.

“Kiki, I get that you’re upset. If you don’t want to eat with me, I won’t push it. But can you talk to me without being so cold? Please, I’m truly upset.”

He dropped his gaze, looking sincerely sad.

Keira looked up at him, her skin alluring and tempting, making him want to touch her.

For the first time, Andres felt unsure about how to appease her.

“I know Alondra often treats you unfairly and makes unreasonable demands, and today I helped you settle the score. I promise, from now on, she won’t dare to cause you trouble again, okay?”

Hearing his slightly self-satisfied tone, Keira couldn’t help but find it hilarious.
