“What did you say?” Andres had never heard Keira curse before. For a moment, he thought he was hallucinating.

Keira stared at him and said slowly, “I said, you are a jerk!”

Andres’s face fell.

Keira snapped, “Why can’t I tolerate her? You have a beloved woman in your heart. You consider everything for her, putting her first in everything. You have left me over and over again for her, yet you ask me why I can’t tolerate her.

“I couldn’t tolerate her, just like how you couldn’t stand Derick back then!” Her words hit home.

Andres clearly choked up and took a moment before saying, “Marlee and Derick are completely different. I only see Marlee as a sister, but can you honestly say that you’ve never had feelings for

Derick?”

Derick came from a rich family. He was smart and easygoing. He was a hit with girls, and Andres had seen them having meals together a few times.

Keira’s eyes were calm. At this point, she had no need for any explanation.

Her silence made Andres even more annoyed.”We got together because Mrs. Watkins introduced us. For so many years, she has always hoped that we could be together. Is it appropriate for you to bring up such a trivial matter to her? Aren’t you just trying to make things tough for me with her and Mr. Watkins, forcing me to give in to you first?

“Didn’t Mrs. Watkins tell you to behave? Aren’t you scared they’ll find out it’s you causing a scene? Aren’t you worried they’ll be disappointed in you?”

Andres stared at Keira with anger in his eyes, truly annoyed that she had reported him to Everett.

If Everett held a grudge because of this, it would mess up his future for sure.

Andres knew that Keira respected Everett and Kaitlyn more than he did, so she definitely did not want them to see her bad side.

However, Keira didn’t seem to get his warning and didn’t care at all.”If you want to complain, go ahead. You’d better make a big deal out of it and let everyone know, so they can all criticize and condemn me!”

think I’m scared? You’re always picking on Marlee and finding faults with her for no reason. It’s jealousy and a lack of trust in me. Who do you think Mr. Watkins would side with?” Seeing her being so stubborn, Andres lost his patience.

“Keira, if you keep making a fuss, there will be no way for us to go back to how things were before.”

His final words dripped with menace.
