Chapter 36
Everett sipped his coffee. “So you mean Keira and Andres fought, likely due to that woman?”
“Or what? Everyone knows Andres has had that sandalwood bracelet for years. Forget if she knows what it’s for. Even if she doesn’t know, it’s something a male friend wore close for years. Can she just take it? So weird.”
Everett nodded. “That makes sense. So, what do you mean?”
Kaitlyn put down the ball of yarn in her hands. “Some time ago, your student wanted to invite you to make another movie. Weren’t you quite interested in it?”
She adjusted her shawl. Age had been kind to her. Her hair might be flecked with white, but her eyes were bright, gentle, and brimming with kindness and serenity.
A touch of heartache and regret hid deep in her eyes.
“Didn’t you say I shouldn’t accept it?” Everett teased, raising an eyebrow.
Everett thought, “Why is she so fickle?”
“That was because I was afraid you would be too tired,” said Kaitlyn.
“Why aren’t you afraid of me being tired now?” Everett huffed. His chubby look was comical, not threatening.
“Don’t interrupt.” Kaitlyn glared at him. “I didn’t ask you to accept it now. I just want you to help.”
Then she giggled, “I think you have a say in this. You can recommend Andres for that role. It suits him.”
“Weren’t you just mad at him? And now you’re helping him? You’re stubborn but you’re soft-hearted, right?” Everett happily added another cup of coffee.
He knew Kaitlyn very
well.
“I ask you not to interrupt.” Kaitlyn glared at him again.”I am not helping him. I feel sorry Keira. You should also arrange for Keira to be cast.

“You want Keira to follow your path. She can’t be a director yet, but she can be an assistant director. She’s capable. I wouldn’t want her position to be too low either.”
Everett sighed slowly, “These two kids…”
He didn’t want to owe anyone a favor, but if Kaitlyn asked him to do so, he had no choice.
After their last unpleasant parting, Andres felt even more suffocated.
After learning he was in a bad mood, Marlee came to keep him company for half a day.
Seeing the gentle Marlee and recalling the arrogant Keira, he felt even more frustrated.
To his surprise, when he went to see Emily the next day, she shut him out.

This made him even more annoyed with Keira
The maid didn’t even open the door. She just said she would pass on the message.
Keira really knew how to make him mad.
