Chapter 44
“Keira, have you thought through Ms. Reid’s thing?” Andres stood in the sunlight, but his eyes were cold, like a dark, damp basement.
Keira just stared straight into his eyes.
Suddenly, she still felt pain in the chest, but not as sharp as before.
Keira didn’t feel like explaining to him either. She just stood there with a blank look on her face.
She stood tall, looking proud and distant.
Marlee clenched her fists, but there was no sign of anger on her face. She still spoke softly, “Keira, please don’t…”
“Wait a minute.” Keira impatiently scratched her ear and looked at Marlee with a half-smile.”I remember you are one year older than me. You don’t have to act so humble. I can’t take it.”
Marlee was taken aback. She bit her lip tightly, looking like she wanted to cry but was holding back. “I…”
“Keira, what exactly do you want to do? Why are you acting so aggressive?” Andres got angry, clenching his fists tightly.
“Marlee’s gentle and didn’t mind your attitude, but if you keep this up, don’t blame me for not going easy on you.”
“We should work things out by ourselves. But why does Keira always go after Marlee?
“Does she think I can only have her by my side?” thought Andres.
With that thought in mind, he said, “In your eyes, I can only have you by my side, right? If that’s how it is, I might as well quit acting and just stay home with you every day, never seeing anyone else!”
Andres’s voice was loud. The anger on his face made it seem like he was facing his longtime
enemy.
Keira couldn’t help but snicker at the sight of him desperately trying to protect Marlee.
And he was clearly changing the subject.
But he seemed to forget one thing. They had already broken up and she didn’t love him anymore.
Faced with such a threat and questioning, she would no longer reflect on herself, nor would she apologize to appease Andres.
Their dispute caught the attention of a few people nearby.
A girl whispered, “Isn’t that Mr. Finley and Marlee?”
“Yeah, see how close they look? They’re definitely together!”
“The sandalwood bracelet in Marlee’s hand is the one from Mr. Finley. I used to think he was so aloof. I almost suspected him of being frigid. I never expected him to actually reveal his love

“But they seemed quite a perfect match.”
