When Andres came to her, Keira unconsciously furrowed her brows.
“Keira, what exactly do you want?” Andres questioned her directly.
Keira frowned, looking at him with annoyance, pursing her lips and remaining silent.
“Do you think that staying silent can resolve this matter? Keira, you’ve grown increasingly unruly. Considering the goodwill of Mr. and Mrs. Watkins, I extended leniency when dealing with Ms. Reid’s departure. You’re well aware that I always uphold my promises. Opting not to make our contract termination public was my way of offering you another chance.
“You had Mr. Watkins recommend me to join the crew, and you counted on connections to become the assistant director. Aren’t you very principled and you care about your reputation the
most?
“Didn’t you disgrace yourself by benefiting from connections?”
He said those words in one go, and every sentence was filled with complaints.
Andres’ cold gaze was intimidating.
He didn’t even bother to verify and just kept blaming Keira for one thing after another.
For a moment, Keira felt a sense of relief. Fortunately, she had already given up on him because of Andres’ cheating on her. If she still loved him, every word he said could have turned into a sharp blade, piercing deep into her heart.
Andres felt like he was suppressing his emotions, otherwise he would have already raised his hand and strangled Keira.
“Do you
think Marlee wasn’t chosen because I sabotaged it?” Keira’s eyes brimmed with inscrutable emotions, a frigid chill gradually creeping up to settle upon her brows.
She liked smiling, but she was so disappointed now.
“You knew it well. If you still have any conscience left, go and explain the situation to Mr. Watkins and Mr. Schultz. Convince them to select Marlee. Don’t make me look down on you!” Andres’ face grew even darker, and his impatience reached its peak.
Keira felt that Andres was simply unreasonable.”This has nothing to do with me. If you want her to be selected, go and ask for help yourself. I advise you to go if you…”
