“We don’t need to drag others into it.” Keira stepped up, positioning herself between the two.
Andres sneered, but before he could say anything Marlee’s assistant rushed over, breathless. “Andres, Marlee just fell.”
He frowned, a flicker of doubt in his eyes.
He couldn’t tell if it was a coincidence or not, but every time he tried to talk to Keira, something seemed to happen on Marlee’s end.
“What happened?” Alondra demanded, turning to Keira with a darkening expression.”Did you have something to do with this?”
“No, Keira has been standing right here since she got here. You saw it, right? If you don’t need your eyes, maybe give them to someone who does. It might earn you some good karma and help your brain work better in the next life!” Chelsea’s voice dripped with sarcasm.
“Chelsea is really something!” Randall thought. He was impressed with her sharp tongue.
Alondra’s words put an end to Andres’ doubts, making him frown even deeper.
He looked at Keira.”I’ll let the others go, but you need to calm down, come back, and stop messing with Marlee. This is your last chance!”
It was like he had already found Keira guilty.
Keira’s eyes darkened a bit, and a chilly smile tugged at her lips.
Andres didn’t look at her anymore. Instead, he looked at the boxes. “I’ll give you two days to think it over. Don’t let me down again.”
With that, he turned and strode away.
Alondra took a couple of steps and then turned back. She glanced at the things on the ground before speaking sarcastically, “Keira, Andres personally asked you to come back. Are you feeling smug about that? But compared to Marlee, you’re still the one who’s less important to him!” Alondra rolled her eyes.”And you’re getting old. The older you get, the more you regress. Do you really think a little bit of money can make Andres jealous? If you want him to come back, you should use your brain and figure out who you need to please!”
Keira raised an eyebrow and chuckled, “So you’re saying you want me to spend the money on you?”
Alondra was caught off guard, immediately getting anxious and defensive. “Who cares about your stuff? Are you trying to insult me?”
“Is that so? I actually think you’re quite demanding.”
Keira’s distracted gaze landed on the earrings that clashed with her overdone makeup, yet they were Louis Vuitton.
