Chapter 6: Seducing The Tribe Leader

Tera wanted the ground to swallow her whole.

How the hell was she supposed to know he was just going to take her somewhere to wash herself when he didn’t say anything about it?!

’Who just grabs someone and just...’

Tera trembled as another wave of anger and embarrassment overtook her.

And she had gone and delivered an entire dramatic speech about decency and dignity and how much she wanted to fuck him again while her eyes watered like a leaky faucet in front of this brute.

Her eyes were still wet, but she had no intention of looking up to meet his eyes. If she could go the rest of this strange, day without acknowledging what had just happened, that would be ideal.

"Put me down," she said flatly.

Xavi did not understand what had happened, and he was getting even more confused by the second. One moment the female was yelling, the next she sounded like she was about to cry, and now she was just hanging under his arm in complete silence.

Or did she not like him carrying her like this?

He looked at her scarred feet. It would not have made sense for her to further injure her legs along the way, and she would have slowed him down.

His gaze drifted up to land on her bare ass, and he quickly looked away, annoyed at himself.

"I said put me down. I will bite you."

Xavi smiled. With what teeth was she going to use?

"You have no fangs."

Tera’s irritation slightly increased. She was dangling like a caught fish, and he would not even let her walk on her own?

One of her hands had landed on his chest for balance. She flexed her fingers absently and felt the muscle give slightly under her touch.

Tera forgot she was supposed to be embarrassed, and squeezed.

"All is forgiven," Tera announced, sniffing and blinking away the wetness in her eyes.

She lightly squeezed again just to make sure the first squeeze had not been a fluke.

Tera ignored the system and focused on her newfound joy. She could feel Xavi stare down at the top of her head. His confusion was practically vibrating through his skin.

"You are..." He trailed off, apparently unable to find the right word.

This female who had been on the verge of tears was now complementing his chest and squeezing him like he was a piece of meat she was testing for freshness.

Xavi silently concluded that this female was every bit as shameless as the rumours claimed, and that he would get to the bottom of whatever scheme this was.

They walked for a short while longer, and Tera was just starting to get comfortable when the sound of running water reached her ears.

She perked up despite herself and was shocked to see an actual calm river rather than a small stream.

"Oh, this is actually—"

Xavi tossed her in.

Tera hit the water with a splash and came up sputtering. The cold shocked through her and she whipped around to glare at him.
