Chapter 68
JUSTIN’S POV
Allison yawns and rolls onto her back, tugging the blanket over herself. I snort softly.
I reach out and trace a lazy line along her cheek with my finger but she nudges my hand away without even opening her eyes.
Grabbing my phone from the nightstand, I try to take a photo. She looks ridiculously beautiful with her
messy hair and cute face. She’ll probably demand I delete it the second she sees it, but it’s worth the try. I
mean, how could I not want a picture of the way her blonde hair falls around her face this morning?
Tilting the phone closer to her face, I snap the picture, only to glance at the screen and see her eyes wide
open. I flinch.
“Delete it,” she groans, rubbing sleep from her eyes. “Delete it before I fight you. I’m very cranky in the
moming.”
I slide the phone into my pocket and lie back down beside her, pulling her into my arms.
‘Morning, baby. Did you sleep well?”
She nods, her face warming as a slow smile spreads across it. “I slept like a baby.” She pauses, her smile
turning softer. “Your baby.”
A chuckle slips out as I press a soft kiss to her lips. “Then why were you calling Katy’s name in your sleep?”
Her eyes widen and she jerks back, immediately sitting up and dragging the blanket over herself.
‘How could I forget that horrendous nightmare?” she groans.
‘What happened?” I tug her back down beside me. “Did Katy yell at you?”
“Worse.” She pouts, resting her small hand on my chin. “I told her we’re dating and she attacked me. Like, full on pulled my hair out and made me bald. Can you imagine that? My hair!”
I stare at her for a second. “So the worst part of the dream wasn’t that Katy hates we’re dating. It’s that
you were bald?”
She gasps, smacking my chest. “Justin! Do you know how long it takes to grow hair like mine?”
I know she’s serious, but I can’t help laughing, which only earns me a deeper scowl.
“There’s no universe where Katy beats you up,” I say, brushing my finger over her bottom lip. “So relax. You’re not going bald anytime soon.”
“But shouldn’t we tell her?” she asks after a moment, her expression turning thoughtful. Then she sighs. “I can’t keep lying to her or sneaking around. Before, I was hesitant because we weren’t official, but now… I
think we should tell her.”

I nod. “We should but fair warning, Katy’s not exactly reasonable when it comes to you. She practically
sees you as a sister and she’d probably find it easier to believe I’m secretly gay than to imagine us
together.”
Allison blinks at me.
“So yeah,” I add with a small shrug. “We should probably prepare for her to be mad at us for… a while.”
Her expression sags, and I catch that familiar look of worry in her eyes. “What if she totally objects? Like…
says we can’t date and forces you to choose between us. What would you do?”
I raise an eyebrow, fighting a grin. “Is this one of those ‘would you still love me if I was a worm’ questions?”
She slaps my chest, scrunching her nose. “I’m barely awake. Do you really think I have the energy for that right now?”
I take her hand, pressing gentle kisses to each finger before cradling it in mine. “Allison… you don’t need to worry about that.”
“Answer.” She fixes me with a stern look. “Or I’m just going to assume you’d pick your sister.”
I sigh and lean in to kiss her again. “What makes you think I’m letting you go after waiting for your cute ass for two years?”
She blushes instantly, then tries to roll her eyes like she’s unaffected, but the pink in her cheeks completely betrays her.
“Besides,” I add, brushing my thumb along her hand, “I was understanding when it came to Cooper and her. So I’m hoping she’ll give us the same grace.”
She nods slowly. “That’s true.” Then she tilts her head, studying me. “But seriously… why did you allow that? I know Braydon is your best friend, but he has a track record. No offense, I just never pictured you being okay with it.”
I groan and sit up, letting my gaze settle on her flushed face and bright eyes. “He’s in love with her. That’s why I’m okay with it.”
She props herself up beside me, curiosity in her eyes. “Aren’t you scared they’ll break up and it’ll ruin everything between you guys?”
I run a hand through my hair, thinking. “I’ve thought about it a lot because I kind of knew when he started liking her. But… they’re both adults, and even if they do break up, Cooper respects her enough not to make it messy. If anything goes wrong, it’ll probably be because of their different goals… or his family.”
Allison shakes her head, a soft frown on her face. “I just… hope they don’t. Katy seems really happy with
him.”
“I know.” I lean in, pinching her chin gently. “Enough of them. Let’s have breakfast.”
“Yaayyy!” she spreads her arms dramatically. “Hand me your shirt or something. I’m unlocking my

I chuckle, heading to my wardrobe and pulling out a fresh shirt and a pair of shorts. I hand them over, and
she smirks, slipping into them easily.
I can’t stop staring, and she arches a brow. “Are you staring at my t**s?”
“Yeah,” I admit, rubbing my lips. “I am.”
“Do you like them?”
I nod, grinning. “Yes, ma’am.”
She giggles, hopping out of bed to press a quick kiss to my lips. “I like you so much, Justin Evans.”
I wrap my hands around her waist, pulling her flush against me. “And I like you more.” I poke her nose.” Now, breakfast before I completely lose focus.”
She snorts and follows me out to the kitchen. While I pull things out of the fridge, she’s wandering around
like it’s her first time seeing a kitchen.
“What are we making?” she asks, her eyes bright with curiosity.
“Hash browns,” I reply, washing the potato.
“Let me help.”
I nod and hand her an onion. “You can dice this.”
She glances at the onion, then at me, then back at the onion. “You know I can do more than just dice an
onion.”
