Fake Dating My Ex's Hockey Star Brother (Maya Scott) novel Chapter 31

KATY’S POV

Startling warmth. That’s all I feel.

Warmth from his lips on mine. Warmth from his body pressing closer as he deepens the kiss like he’s been waiting for this all night.

His hands slip behind my head, fingers tangling in my hair as he tilts me up, and the heat between us catches fire. His kiss is hungry and when I part my lips, it becomes something else entirely.

God, he smells so good. Like cologne, clean laundry, and something faintly sinful. He tastes even better and I can taste the lemon in whatever he drank, mixed with the faint sweetness of his breath. His tongue slides into my mouth, teasing mine and exploring until he pulls back just enough to kiss my upper lip.

Desperation claws up my chest, and I clutch his shirt like it’s the only thing keeping me standing.

“You taste so good,” he murmurs against my mouth.

“Mmh,” is all I can manage, my teeth catching gently on his bottom lip.

His knee presses between my legs, parting them slightly, and a shiver races up my spine so fast I almost forget to breathe. I can feel him hard and when he takes my hand, guiding it down, my heart slams against my ribs.

When my fingers brushes against him, a rush of heat floods through me, stealing the air from my lungs. My knees tighten instinctively, a soft sound slipping out before I can stop it. He’s so hard, and I rub him delicately, tracing circles.

He lets out a low moan, his grip tightening as the kiss turns rougher. I can hardly breathe now with my mouth, my hands, all of me moving at once, and chasing the moment.

His lips trail down my jaw, and I tilt my head, giving in as he finds that spot on my neck that makes my pulse trip. Fuck. He knows exactly what he’s doing, how to make me weak in the knees and I have no idea how I’m still standing.

“Bray..”

He grips my knee and suddenly I’m in the air, my back hitting the wall as my legs lock around his waist. We don’t stop kissing, if anything, it gets wilder.

His hand moves everywhere–my back, my hips, up to my neck again–like he can’t decide where to touch first. I can’t stop the sounds coming out of me, and when his tongue finds mine again, I suck gently on it. His answering groan rumbles through me, and God, it feels way too good.

His hands shift, one gliding around my neck, and the other cradling me at the waist. In all the times we’ve kissed before, he’s never kissed me like this. It’s full of….

“Katy.”

The voice snaps me back. I freeze. My eyes fly open, meeting not just one but five shocked faces- Allie, Jacob from debate, Sean, and two others. Every drop of blood in my body rushes straight to my face with my chest still heaving, lips swollen, and hair a mess.

Sean smirks, his eyes roaming over us and that’s when I remember that Braydon’s still holding me.

I shove at him, stumbling when my feet hit the ground. My balance nearly gives out, and I grab the wall, wishing it would just swallow me whole.

Before anyone can say a word, I grab Allie’s hand and bolt. My heart is still pounding, and I barely register Braydon’s face as we rush past. I don’t stop until we’re outside on the porch, and only then do I let her go, bending forward as I try to catch my breath

“What the hell…” I whisper, half to myself. My pulse is racing, my lips still tingling with my body still remembering every second of what just happened. They saw. All of them saw.

I groan, pressing my hands to my burning face. So much for “Braydon pursuing me.” I was literally devouring him and all of them saw that.

“That was one hot kiss… or kisses,” Allie drawls, her tone way too amused.

I shoot up and slap a hand over her mouth. “Shhh!”

She laughs against my palm, wriggling free. “Let go o
